¡Saludos! Hoy les quiero mostrar el proceso de dibujo del retrato número 23 de mi reto personal de retratos de Benedict Cumberbatch, este consistía en dibujar al actor usando lentes lo cual me parece la cosa más tierna y por eso disfrute tanto realizar este retrato, espero que les guste

Greetings! Today I want to show you the drawing process of the portrait number 23 of my personal portrait challenge of Benedict Cumberbatch, this consisted in drawing the actor wearing glasses which I think is the cutest thing and that's why I enjoyed so much to do this portrait, I hope you like it.

Lo primero fue hacer el encaje y dibujo del rostro, yo usé una hoja de papel tamaño carta, en el previamente había marcado un margen de 1.5cm desde los bordes del papel, con la ayuda de un lápiz comencé a tomar todas las medidas del rostro de la imagen de referencia para posteriormente plasmarlos sobre el papel.

The first thing was to make the lace and drawing of the face, I used a sheet of letter size paper, in which I had previously marked a margin of 1.5cm from the edges of the paper, with the help of a pencil I began to take all the measurements of the face of the reference image to then capture them on paper.

Con el dibujo lineal culminado el siguiente paso fue agregar tramas con un lápiz 3B progresivamente para conseguir los volúmenes del rostro, usualmente suelo comenzar con el área central específicamente desde los ojos, mediante la superposición de tramas intento recrear todos los tonos y texturas presentes en la fotografía.

With the line drawing completed the next step was to add wefts with a 3B pencil progressively to get the volumes of the face, I usually start with the central area specifically from the eyes, by superimposing wefts I try to recreate all the tones and textures present in the photograph.

Posteriormente procedí a valorizar los lentes, este paso lo realicé usando un lápiz 10B comencé bordeando todo el contorno para posteriormente seleccionar las zonas iluminadas para dejarlas en blanco para simular el brillo propio del material.

Then I proceeded to enhance the glasses, this step was done using a 10B pencil, I started by bordering the entire contour and then selected the illuminated areas to leave them blank to simulate the brightness of the material.

Seguidamente continúe con los cabellos, en esta fotografía su cabello estaba un poco largo y se apreciaban muchas ondas, lo que supuso un poco de reto para mí, en este caso lo que hice fue seccionar los mechones muchos más pequeños para poder dibujarlos más adecuadamente.

Next I continued with the hair, in this picture her hair was a bit long and there were a lot of waves, which was a bit of a challenge for me, in this case what I did was to section the locks much smaller to be able to draw them more adequately.

Finalmente, aporte valor a sus ropas igualmente con la misma técnica de tramas en el caso de la camisa con el uso de un lápiz 3B con presión mínima y en la camisa use un lápiz 6B que aporta un tono más oscuro, para el fondo aplique tramas con un lápiz HB pues quería un fondo con una tonalidad alta, por ultimo rocié una fina capa de barniz en spray para proteger el dibujo.

Finally, I added value to his clothes with the same technique of weft in the case of the shirt with the use of a 3B pencil with minimal pressure and in the shirt I used a 6B pencil that provides a darker tone, for the background I applied weft with an HB pencil because I wanted a background with a high tonality, finally I sprayed a thin layer of spray varnish to protect the drawing.
