The picture was drawn with the idea that not only monsters are scary and terrible but also bright ones. Well, monsters themselves are imaginary creatures. When I think about it, I think people's imagination in the past was really rich. I also want to value my imagination. Imagination leads to creativity.

「上機嫌な妖怪」

妖怪も怖く、おどろおどろしい妖怪ばかりじゃなくて、明るい妖怪もいるだろうと思って描いた絵です。まあ妖怪自体が想像上の生き物ですが。そう考えると昔の人の想像力というのは実に豊かだったんだなと思います。私も想像力を大事にしたいと思います。想像力は創造力につながりますから。
