It as been a crazy ride this past weeks, seeing the development of the narrative by the "official representatives of truth" AKA the government, as you may know (or perhaps not) there are now preparations in the country were i was born and live (Portugal) to approve a law to "legalize censorship" it seems it as passed the parliament without opposition (none of the political groups with seat at the Portuguese parliament voted against) it is aimed at online "activities" to try and prevent people to come across "misinformation and false news" that may contest the "truth and it's dictator, the government" as we know this can now be amplified and used in other mediums if needed as the precedent is being put in to law with this one, but lets not get distracted here, as they say in the news "and now sports", fore this year we will have the Euro 2020 Cup (aren't we in the year 2021?, never-mind that, let's not contest the truth) with Portugal the defending champion, its time to call upon the triad that keeps the Portuguese people blinded in bliss, its time for Fado, Futebol e Fátima, Foda-se. (Fado -most popular traditional Portuguese music, Futebol- most popular sport in Portugal, Fatima, most popular religious sanctuary and center of pilgrimage "church business" in Portugal, Fuck-it - is to say that all the other things involving "real live" seem to have no importance wen you are "addicted" to one or more of this.)
So as some sort of "premonitory-reaction" for this great achievement by the Portuguese political class i would like to present to you this new creation that with the help of the youngest i have manage to scrap on this piece of paper, it aims to represent reactions:

Original - Hand drawing (21x15),color pencils, red wax pencil and HB pencil, over draft paper.
Last image is a scan of the original drawing, all the others are digitally enhanced in GIMP
This one was started weeks before all this new law subject, i had this piece of paper in my desk, the youngest in my lap, and color pencils at disposal for him to scratch, he did his part and left to play with something else, the piece of paper remained in my desk as did the color pencils, i used it to sketch the eye on top, in another day he returned, to scratch some more on top of this paper and drawing. Some of the pencils he used remained in my desk and were the ones i used without much care to draw some of the other elements, on the same side of the paper. I cant remember exactly wen but at some point a line was drawn in the paper, seemingly without purpose this line remained as a frontier in the piece of paper, some more detail was added to the elements in the paper, the paper was then put aside.
The eye would some times peak out and question, what more Will you do with it? I did wonder some times, one day the youngest left a red wax pencil on the ground near my desk, i piked it up and a few days later wile sitting on top of my desk it became the tool to reconnect with this piece of paper, the idea was formulated in a clear way, on the left side with this red wax pencil i would draw a face, wile trying to convey with it some emotions, like anger, fear, stress ... it would complement the other side and together would translate an idea related to the present evolving situation, this emotions of anger, fear and stress are now displayed by many peoples, in face of anyone who as a vision of freedom and knowledge ...
To complement the Red wax, a HB pencil was used in order to darken some areas and introduce some details.
The news with the law being passed on parliament was watched on TV in a late night show some days after i had concluded this piece.
