I love to see them floating through the water, weightlessly and elegant. Like creatures from another planet. But wait, they look different, are they really jellyfishes or what?
Ich liebe es, sie schwerelos und elegant durch das Wasser schweben zu sehen. Wie Wesen von einem anderen Stern. Aber warte mal, irgendwie sehen sie anders aus, sind das wirklich Quallen oder was?

This time I want to show you a little experiment I made few weeks ago. I´m often inspired by nature and I also see often certain things in totally different objects (I´m also a person who suffers badly from pareidolia :D ). And when I found this certain object in my backyard, I felt the urge to transform it and put it into this underwater scenery. Here´s my making of:
Dieses Mal möchte ich ein kleines Experiment zeigen, das ich vor einigen Wochen gemacht habe. Ich lasse mich oft von der Natur inspirieren und sehe auch oft bestimmte Dinge in ganz anderen Objekten (ich bin auch ein Mensch, der stark an Pareidolia leidet : D ). Und als ich dieses bestimmte Objekt in meinem Garten fand, verspürte ich den Drang, es etwas umzuwandeln und in diese Unterwasserlandschaft hineinzusetzen. Hier ist mein Making of:

Brutally impaling the jellyfishes
Zuerst habe ich die Quallen brutal aufgespießt

Adding white spray paint
Dann weiß besprüht

I found a piece of styrofoam for the background with the right size
Dann fand ich ein Stück Styropor mit der richtigen Größe für den Hintergrund

Das habe ich mit Acrylfarbe bemalt

Finally there was also some Photoshop involved. Maybe I´m reusing this scene for a bigger image, since I´m not completely satisfied with the outcome. But still, this was a nice little project. And if you still don´t know who the jellyfishes are....
Am Ende war auch etwas Photoshop im Spiel. Vielleicht verwende ich dieses Setup mal für ein größeres Bild, da ich mit dem Ergebnis nicht ganz zufrieden bin. Aber trotzdem war das ein nettes kleines Projekt. Und wenn ihr immer noch nicht wisst, wer die Quallen sind...
