This is a picture I made back in 2006. It´s about love on the one hand, about all the obstacles, confusions and whatever comes with love on the other hand. I showed this piece already on Steemit a while ago, but now I also want to give you an insight about the creation process, which wasn´t so easy.

Das ist ein Bild, das ich bereits 2006 gemacht habe. Es geht einerseits um Liebe, andererseits um all die Hürden, Verwirrungen und was auch immer mit Liebe einhergeht. Ich habe dieses Bild bereits vor einiger Zeit auf Steemit gezeigt, aber jetzt möchte ich auch einen Einblick in den Erstellungsprozess geben, der nicht so einfach war.

My favorite medium is actually modeling clay - combined with photography and digital post-processing. In this particular case, the clay model was a bit too shaky and I had to tape a lot and invest a lot of time in post-processing. So the original work looked something like this ...

Mein Lieblingsmedium ist eigentlich Knete - kombiniert mit Photographie und digitaler Nachbearbeitung. In diesem speziellen Fall war das Knetmodell doch etwas zu wackelig und ich musste einiges kleben und viel Zeit in die Nachbearbeitung stecken. Also sah das Ausgangswerk etwa so aus...

As you can see, they have no arms! Since this material is really too fragile to make tiny details, I had to use my own arms. Back then I was shooting with a Canon Eos 300d. Without a ot of knowledge and without a studio setup. But quick and dirty. Only with the idea in my head. Which is sometimes enough :)

Wie man sehen kann, haben sie keine Arme! Da das Material wirklich zu zerbrechlich ist, um winzige Details zu machen, musste ich meine eigenen Arme nehmen. Damals habe ich mit einer Canon Eos 300d fotografiert. Ohne viel Wissen und ohne Studio-Setup. Aber quick and dirty. Nur mit der Idee in meinem Kopf. Was auch manchmal genug ist :)
