Illustration of The Blue Whisper, a popular chinese xianxia drama

Hello dear Hiveians, how have you been?

Today I'd like to present some of my digital drawings inspired by a popular chinese web novel which is made into a TV series and become very popular too this year. It's a chinese xianxia drama based on chinese mythology and my drawings described the most iconic scene in the drama where the female lead transformed into a nine tailed fox.
Dilreba dilmurat seemed to really be born into the role of a fox spirit anyhow :-D. She nailed it perfectly portraying a cute, innocent and playful red nine tailed fox goddess "Bai Fengjiu" in Eternal Love of Dream / The Pillow Book but she also performed amazingly as a resolute, unyielding, powerful and domineering white nine tailed fox demoness Ji Yunhe.

I can't help watching this particular scene over and over again :-D, so that I think I just have to put it either on my real paper or my digital canvas LOL.

You can watch the short clip of the most iconic scene when she transformed as a nine tailed fox for the first time after her fairy soul has been killed by the thousand arrows of Shunde Fairy and her people here below:

However I also made another drawings of the female and female lead that you can enjoy below:

I have made a video to show you the drawing process of those three pictures that can be seen in my youtube channel. The background music is one of the original soundtrack which I love the most. The song is called "Ruo ni suo xiang = As you wish", originally sung by Mao buyi (the male version) and Sa Dingding (the female version).

But the one I used as a background music for my pictures compilation is my own cover version.
So it's me singing the song here :).
Anyway all the content of this article is made by me.
This is the link to see the drawing process:

By the way this drama is so good, the actors and actresses played well and the CGI is also great..
however despite all that I am actually wondering how many audiences actually realized the powerful messages the author has tried to deliver to the public.
Yes, this story is not only entertaining but also delivering a powerful and important messages to us, which is
"Freedom is the best thing we could give to those we love and truly care about".
An obsessive love is toxic, unhealthy.
Love shouldn't be a shackle, so using love to restrict and confine someone is nonsense.
Confinement is equal with imprisonment and doing that to our loved one is domestic violence, there is no excuse for domestic abuse.

Even forcing someone who is dying, without any hope of recovery and force her to go through an extreme pain just to prolong the life for few more days cos he wants to keep her beside him as long as possible is a torture, not love. That's cruel.
Especially when the Male Lead knew that the thing the female lead dreams the most is to be allowed to go out to enjoy freedom and to see the world in her last days.
The things that annoys me the most during watching the show is not the story, because as the story goes... the male lead finally realized what he's doing wrong and learns to love her the right way after he found her again when she was being reborn as a true fox spirit and no longer lived as an immortal with double spirit souls.

What disturbed me is rather the comments of the audiences I read in every episodes which shows how little awareness exist among the folks about mental abuse and verbal abuse by a loved one.
People seems to only count an abuse when it is physical but ignored the psychological abuse.
And romance seems to really be able to blind them all, as if it is a reasonable excuse and can justify toxic behaviour. Unbelievable.
Especially since the audiences are not even all of asian origin nor live in a country where people like Talibans are in control... many of them are living in Eurepe or USA, so it is just very unconceivable to me...
This world is really worrying...
The couple in the drama had a second chance to correct their mistakes as they are telling fantasy stories with reincarnation thingy... but in the reality...such things are absurd, no one has a second lifetime to correct the wrong.
It seems that many women really still have a rough road to go through in life, even in a long developed nation :)... those living in third world countries must have it even harder T_T.
However ... this old saying also hold some truth: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", so never underestimate women LOL.

Well...enough with my ramblings, I hope you like my artworks and thanks a lot in advance for your support :).
I'll see you again soon with my next project :).
