This is another of my art entries in the Zealy campaign and today's theme is a lion hustler Interpreting the concept of a theme is the most delicate part of that theme and this is because art is uniquely different, people perceive art from a distinctive point of view and interpret it based on things that are personal to them .
To me, a hustler is someone who is on the clock and hoping to beat a certain aim, achieve a goal, meet a target, or hit a milestone. I believe that time and effort create results.

Interpretation Of The Concept
This is the reason why I decided to draw a lion checking his wristwatch and carrying a briefcase. The mmmtime signifies the deadline of the hustle, while the briefcase signifies the hustle itself.
This means that the briefcase to me signifies hustle to me. Some else could have easily used a laptop, or maybe something costly relates to work. There are so many images that come to the mind of a person when they think about the theme of hustle and work.
This is why we tend to perceive and interpret art according to our persona. So here, I've used time and work to interpret the theme of hustle and I hope I've managed to sell that narrative.
Sketching this was relatively difficult for me, as I had to think of the concept while completely drawing the theme from my head. It's difficult not to have a reference for your drawings especially when you want to interpret a theme and draw something different from anything you've seen.
So the challenge was getting to draw something that I was envisioning and imagining how it'll turn out, and when I was done, I liked how I completely interpreted the theme. Again, I think the shade work came out pretty decently.
Shading
Shading is an integral aspect of sketching, there are times you need heavy shadings to contrast with a lighter 8one to create an art effect.
Art effects are really important, for example, you need shading to depict shadows falling on an object and when there are no colors to represent it, it becomes difficult. So here, I hoped my shading work has gotten better over time.
Here's the process and creation of the drawing, what do you think?
