The local name of the Convent is Kuremäe and, as we are talking about churches, then the Uspenski Cathedral of that Convent is presented on my pictures.
That is how it looks inside.
Refectory Church of the Convent where nuns cook and eat.
The Front Gate - the entrance to the Convent.
The town of Jõhvi. Here is an Orthodox church located in our nabour town, small but pretty as well.
Lutheran is the main religion in Estonia. In these pictures you can see one of the oldest churches of the country. It is not big (nothing is very big in our little country) but its history is reach I find it beautiful.
A small chapel in the church.
Catholic churches.
Even in our tiny town we have an Orthodox and a Catholic churches. The last one is located in close to the sea. You can see it in pictures below.
And one more church to show you which is quite unusual.
Narva-Joesuu had very beautiful Orthodox church built of wood but last year someone vandals burnt it. They have not stopped their services and now have a church in an unusual place, in a building which does not look like a church on the first sight. I believe they will build a new one soon.
This is my entry for WORLD CONTEST PHOTOGRAPHY Round #12 - Churches of the world hosted by @marc-allaria.
