Hola de nuevo hivers de esta linda comunidad, que como siempre nos permite conocer nuevos lugares al ver las lindas fotos que todos publican acá. Esta vez les quiero enseñar algunos de los lugares por los que paso a menudo de camino a mi trabajo.
Hello again hivers from this beautiful community, which as always allows us to discover new places when we see the beautiful photos that everyone publishes here. This time I want to show you some of the places I often pass by on my way to work.
Como trabajo en una universidad y hay horario flexible no tengo que ir todos los días, pero hoy tuve que ir para que mi jefa me firmara un documento, pues pronto iniciaré una maestría. Como siempre fui en mi bicicleta, que es lo que uso para moverme en la ciudad y ya no salgo a ningún lado sino es en ella 😅. El camino siempre es el mismo, pues es la vía más rápida que encontré para llegar. Salgo de mi casa que está en el Reparto Vélez de la ciudad de Pinar del Río y subo por la calle que está por atrás de pediátrico. Luego bajo por la calle que está frente a la policía y doblo por la Sala Polivalente, que es un local deportivo donde se practican varios deportes y se hacen eventos.
Since I work at a university and there are flexible hours, I don't have to go every day, but today I had to go so my boss could sign a document for me, because soon I will start a master's degree. As I always went on my bike, which is what I use to get around the city and I don't go anywhere anymore if it's not on it 😅. The path is always the same, as it is the fastest way I found to get there. I leave my house, which is in the Vélez neighborhood of the city of Pinar del Río, and go up the street behind the pediatric hospital. Then I go down the street that is in front of the police and turn into the Multipurpose room, which is a sports venue where various sports are practiced and events are held.
Esta es la sala Polivalente y atrás se puede ver el estadio de pelota.
This is the Multipurpose Room and behind it you can see the baseball stadium.
Luego paso un puente y doblo a la derecha por la pista de motos.
Then I cross a bridge and turn right onto the motorcycle track.
Desde aquí se puede ver también el estadio de pelota a lo lejos, lugar al que adoro ir a ver a mi equipo jugar.
From here you can also see the baseball stadium in the distance, a place where I love to go to see my team play.
Sigo recto y cuando cruzo la calle me queda a la izquierda la Casa de un escultor muy famoso en la provincia. Su nombre es Pedro y en su casa ha construido lindas esculturas y es un parque también para los niños, además en el lugar hay un buen restaurante llamado El Bacanal.
Como mi recorrido es en bicicleta las fotos son un poco de lejos. Aquí les dejo algunas donde pueden ver una escultura que hizo parecida a la Torre Eiffel y un castillo donde los niños van a jugar.
I continue straight ahead and when I cross the street, the House of a very famous sculptor in the province is on the left. His name is Pedro and in his house he has built beautiful sculptures and it is also a park for children, also in the place there is a good restaurant called El Bacanal.
Since my tour is by bicycle, the photos are a bit far away. Here are some where you can see a sculpture that he made similar to the Eiffel Tower and a castle where the children go to play.
Más adelante tengo que cruzar el semáforo y llegamos al Reparto Calero donde está la Plaza, lugar donde se hacen variadas actividades como actos culturales y políticos, juegos deportivos, competencias de paracaidismo, conciertos musicales y hasta cuando viene el circo a la ciudad la plaza es el lugar donde se instala.
Later I have to cross the traffic light and we arrive at the Calero neighborhood where the Square is, a place where various activities are held such as cultural and political events, sports games, skydiving competitions, musical concerts and even when the circus comes to the city the square is the place where it is installed.
Como pueden ver es un lugar muy espacioso que permite el disfrute de todas estas actividades.
As you can see it is a very spacious place that allows the enjoyment of all these activities.
La plaza está al inicio de la Avenida Borregos y más adelante hay un pequeño estadio de pelota donde entrenan los niños y adolescentes, y justo al lado está este árbol tan impresionante que por alguna razón me hace pensar en África.
The square is at the beginning of Borregos Avenue and further on there is a small baseball stadium where children and adolescents train, and right next to it is this tree so impressive that for some reason it makes me think of Africa.
Un poco más adelante doblo a la izquierda y llegó a la sede pedagógica de la Universidad de Pinar del Río, en donde me gradué de la carrera de Lenguas Extranjeras y actualmente soy profesora allí.
A little further on, I turn left and arrive at the pedagogical headquarters of the University of Pinar del Río, where I graduated in Foreign Languages and am currently a professor there.
De regreso a casa voy por el mismo camino. Bueno amigos, este es mi camino rutinario al trabajo, espero que hayan disfrutado la vista. Nos vemos.
