Here is another prairie nature walk for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
I usually take my walks in the evening, this gives you plenty of opportunity for sunset photos.
The sunset is also good to line up with lakes to get a nice layered coloring effect. The water was really calm to make a nice solid reflection of the colorful sky.
This part of the lake was slightly disturbed by tiny glints of insects on the water. Mostly likely all these tiny golden glints are mosquitos hatching ready to start biting me when I hunt for mushrooms...
It seems other photographers had the same idea as me to go out for the sunset and prairie nature.
Here we have a picture of a picture of a picture of a picture... the universe is photographers all the way down lol.
Farther on in the walk I noticed a spider covered in spiderlings. This kind of looks like a grass spider with loads of babies on its back.
The spider better be careful, a couple of brown thrashers were taking a dust bath on the path. I'm sure they would love a tasty spider snack with tons of little hors d'oeuvre on it lol.
Speaking of hors d'oeuvres, the evening brought out quite a few rabbits.
These guys must keep the coyotes well fed at night. They are all over the place on the path.
Some of these guys are so tame you could almost reach down and grab one. Though they always seem to hop away at just the last minute. Maybe some kind of lasso would work on catching them.
