Wednesday Walk - Gloomy Chicago

Here is some Chicago gloom for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

Early in the morning my train arrives a good half hour before work begins. This gives me an opportunity to cross the freeway to get snacks from Whole paycheck to hoard at my desk. I wonder what is in this strange oval skyscraper?

On my way to the office I always pass by this architectural montrosity.

I like this parenthesis building much better.

The curved shape stands out nicely against the straight boring skyscrapers around it.

The lobby is cool to as it has lots of trees inside.

Here's another of my favorite lobbies in one of the boring looking skyscrapers.

The strange curvy forms seem to have made it into my latest doodle in process.

For such a curvy lobby this building is as straight as they come.

For lunch I went towards the center of downtown and saw some tree color changes in a tiny little park.

The planters were the real place for fall colors.

Now for a bit of tragedy. I found a tiny little dead wren. I wonder if it died of old age, or from the cold snap we had or maybe it smashed into the glass. Poor little guy.

I ended up walking all the way across town trying to find a place still open for lunch. Fortunately it gave me an opportunity to get this shot of the Chicago theater.

On my way back to work I saw these funny pigeon people warming up by a random fire. Maybe this thing is here just for the pigeons to warm up?

Now back to work.

But not before seeing a cool batman looking bike.

Happy #wednesdaywalk :-)
