Here are a few critters around the lake for #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
The squirrels are very common around the lake, this little guy was chomping his way to the middle of a walnut.
This one looks like it found a peanut.
Here is a tangled looking great blue heron reflecting nicely in the swampy part of the lake.
It finally noticed me creeping closer and closer for a photo.
He doesn't look too happy that I'm just behind the reeds.
I managed to get right behind him and focus in on his eye through the reeds.
Here is a fledgling sparrow begging for food. little gal looks like she is ready to be out on her own.
The flowers are nice and bright right now.
This honey bee is taking advantage of the blooming goldenrod.
Off in the distance I noticed a couple bucks with velvet still on their antlers. By next month they should almost be fully grown, hopefully I can get a closeup shot of their portraits.
