Štrbački buk waterfall and Una River - Wednesday Walk

Hello everyone.
#WednesdayWalk and river Una.
Past Friday I visited waterfall Štrbački buk. City Bihać is around 30 kilometers from Štrbački buk.
It is beautiful and magical place. Štrbački buk is highest waterfall on Una River. Waterfall is 25 meters in height and there are more smaller waterfalls around.
As you walk around the wooden trail on river bank there is always new angle of waterfall that surprise you. And do I have to mention that river Una is clean and beautiful? One of the most beautiful rivers in Europe.
Also this part of Una river is Una National Park or Nacionalni park Una. It is largest National Park in Bosnia and Herzegovina with area of 198 km2.

Visit to Štrbački buk is refreshing and relaxing experience.

Along river there is wooden path. On the path there are view points and platforms.

Before waterfall there are resting places.

Several meters before waterfall.

Top of the waterfall.

Here it is. Štrbački buk waterfall.

Waterfall is breathtaking. You dont realize how much water there is until you come to the waterfall. River Una is big and yet so clean. Here you hear water falling down the waterfall and this sound follows you as you walk around.

As you go down the stream view is more and more beautiful. Smaller cascades and smaller waterfalls and Štrbački buk waterfall in the back are perfect combination.

At this place you can get close to the river Una.

You can climb rocks near the river. You have to be careful but photos are lovely.

Here are the rocks around the river Una. They are slippery so you have to be extra careful.

This is watermill on river Una. By the first half of the 20th century there were several watermills on and near Štrbački buk.

This is how watermill looks inside. On the upper part (triangle shaped wooden box) you put grain and it slowly falls down on the mill stone that is rotating. Then flour comes out under the stone and there is bag that flour is collected.
Mills stone is moved with mechanism that use waters energy (water flows and moves wheel that initiates mechanism).

There is a lot of water here.
Wooden pathway is nice touch. Nice to walk down the wooden path. It was crowded so I did not take much photos.

One more look at the waterfall.

Always good to come and visit Štrbački buk waterfall. We had good time here. It was quite hot but walk around river Una and waterfall is refreshing.
If you have opportunity to come here dont miss it.
