An entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by @tattoodjay.
Last night's snowfall, although not significant, finally took to the ground thanks to this past week's cold weather. It has snowed a few times in this part of the world over the past few months, but nothing stayed. This snow finally decided to hang around. What better place to take a #wednesdaywalk than one of my most favorite places to walk; the local marsh.
Today's walk came at the right time, too. With the workplace flow a wee bit "out of control" today, I took an extended lunch to stop and get some fresh air in. Trust me, when I say "out of control," I really mean it's out of control. All days are out of control; today was just a bit more out of sorts than usual.
The history here isn't as glorious as my past two #wednesdaywalks, but that doesn't mean history isn't here. This entire area was considered sacred by the Native American tribes that inhabited the region prior to European expansion. If you've happened to read some of my other posts on Hive, you might also know this area has meant a lot to me throughout my life. But hey, that's boring! Let's look at that wonderful snow!
I even found the work of yet another beaver going after another tree.
I give them credit...they don't ever give up!
Even with all the winter gear on today, it was worth the walk. With 7-8 inches expected Friday, more winter fun to come. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my walk. Until next week...
