this grill had to be put in the middle of the dock so sunlight could get to the seagrass, a few years later all of the seagrasses died in the river.

I am no longer the only woman working on the river, Nicolete grows oysters.

This is her oyster trommel, it separates the sizes. Smaller oysters fall through the holes and the bigger ones come out the end.

Bags of oysters that she had to bring in and clean, then she will replant them in the river. The one on the right is before cleaning.

Small oysters are in these tubes. When they get big enough she will put them in bigger bags and plant them on her lease.
