A Wednesday Walk

After my usual hectic work hours, I returned home with a clouded brain and a crowded mind. To ease my mind off such crowdedness, not many things came to mind, but a walk through a natural environment.

Which better way to ease yourself of heaviness than to get mingled with nature, and just allow your mind to gaze at its many wonders, while silently adulating its manifold beauties.?

How to easily get to such premises (natural environment) might be a no catwalk for some, but it's a walk through the park for me, considering the proximity of my house to one of the largest privately owned plantation in my region. It's actually the largest I have ever seen anyways.

After I might have eaten one of my favourite food, that I went to my mum's place to get, I slipped into a pair of shorts and soft textured white polo shirt. I rambled into the plantation through the back entrance, which is just a stone throw from my home. I went with my phone on me. My house actually borders the compound that houses the plantation. As I was roving about the walkway that divides the large expanse of land into two halves, I started taking some random shots. Nothing close to professionalism, just for pure bliss.

The plantation majorly consists of palm trees, but there are other sub plantations in there. such as this plantain plantation.

The compound is owned by the late paramount ruler of that region (paramount rulers are the highest in the hierarchy of traditional rulers of a particular region of the state).
The property is quite large, save for leisure or adventure's sake, you wouldn't dare walk its lengths. The length is multiples of hundreds of meters if not up to a thousand meter.
Most of the late Monarch's children do not bother to start a new life elsewhere, their idea of separating from their father is pitching their own tent within the premises.
The roof over there is the house built by one of the late Kings son.

where I snapped these flowers is the frontage of another of his son's building. This one is a prominent politician in my state. He has held many juicy political position in the state. Which includes: Local Government chairman, The then ruling political party state's Chairman, a commissioner of not less than two ministries in the State; among others.
You'll have a glimpse of the roof of his building in one of these pictures.

At this point I was close to the main road. You can see the gate from a distance.

I just took some random pictures of the passers-by

The entrance of the palace that houses the plantation is not far from the major roundabout of my town, so I continued my walk down there.
The roundabout is said to be the largest in West Africa, according my former state governor.

It wouldn't hurt to take some selfie by the largest roundabout in West Africa, would it?

well it might actually hurt. I didn't bother to get a better angle lest I got tapped on the shoulder by ungun known men, sorry I mean known ungun men 😂. I actually mean unknown gun men. I'm yet to forget that I was once bitten.

I finally ended my walk in a friend's Barbershop, where I snapped this picture. Afterwards I sat down there to write this post, with the hope that you'll enjoy reading.
