A dreemport Wednesday Walk

My Wednesday Walk post for @tattoodjay and @elizacheng with #makemesmile comes about with encouragement from @dreemsteem and her #dreemportchallenge.

My Wednesday Walk is a bit deceptive. I didn't walk and I also didn't take the photos! Does this even qualify for a Wednesday Walk post?

In my defense the photos WERE taken with my camera and the trail goes through 'my' woods! 😊

It has been several years since I was last able to walk these trails, but I love that my family can go out and enjoy them when they are here visiting from the city, and share what they see. I can enjoy the walk without leaving my comfy chair! Sorry @dreemsteem, none of my own steps were involved in creating this Wednesday Walk post. I can only dreem that I was along on the hike!

My grandson and daughter in law took my camera with them on their hike so that I could enjoy being there too, via the photos! The trail is great for anyone walking but not particularly maneuverable for my mobility scooter.

The August wildflowers and the grasses going to seed remind us that autumn is not too far away.

Queen Anne’s Lace, also known as wild carrot, is a rather distant relative to our garden carrots. . After the flowers have bloomed, a loose ball forms that contains the seeds. Another sign that summer is on the down hill side!

This silver spotted skipper was enjoying the blooms of this bull thistle blossom. After these thistles have gone to seed they will be enjoyed by the American Goldfinches.

I don't know about you, but I throughly enjoyed this vicarious walk on a Wednesday! It was great to see these views up close again and remember what it feels like to be there.
