Hi friends! This is my first time writing to this interesting community. I saw this community in the posts of my overseas acquaintance @sagesigma. So, last Wednesday, my mom and I finally went for mushrooms together, and got to... an abandoned "hutir" (ie hamlet)! I will write more about mushrooms in the appropriate group. And now I want to tell you about the second part of the trip.
Amanitas and... an unusual selfie!)))
We have a small hamlet Gavarechchyna right in the forest. Once there were maybe 10-12 houses. This village consists of lower and upper parts. At the lower part people have long been making black pottery. These are unique things!!
However, that day we got to the Upper Gavarechchyna. There used to be more people living here, they worked in forestry, and also grew various plants in the fields plowed in the middle of the forest.
Could you live in the forest? Or maybe you already live there?
Old utility rooms sometimes live longer than a house!
We hoped to find some mushrooms and visit a friend who lives there temporarily. Life here has always been harsh!!! The main reason is the almost complete lack of drinking water. Yes, it's strange, considering that everything around is so green. In the wet forest, there are often large puddles. So the plants have something to drink, thanks to rainwater. Instead, there is only one spring for people here, about a kilometer from the village.
By the way, our friend was absent, because he went there for water. My mother and I, not finding mushrooms, decided to explore this ghost village a bit! It turns out that my mother spent a lot of time here as a child, because her three cousins lived here.
Once upon a time there was an old house where my mother spent time with relatives. Then the land was bought and new houses were built. They stand out among the other old houses.
Contrasts of being. Well-groomed flowers and unkempt van:(
Now there are two permanent residents left on the farm: an old woman, who is about 90 years old, and a single middle-aged man. Children come to the grandmother to help her, bring food and water. Well, the other resident probably manages himself. The nearest shop is about 5 km away. For a person with a car - this is certainly not a problem. However, only an SUV can come here, because after the rain the dirt road is often blurred !!! I say, there are spartan conditions:) But something in this is attractive!!
There was a house here that burned down recently. The old woman who lived here is now forced to live in a nursing home.
The man who lives here constantly takes good care of the territory.
Later we still met our friend, who helped not to get lost :) My mother did not recognize many places and houses. Time changes everything! However, we really enjoyed this spontaneous walk and hope to discover new-old places again. Thank you for your attention! See you on Wednesday;)
This is my entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by @tattoodjay.
