Wednesday Walk Around Keith's Pond

I did a circular walk down at the nature reserve. I used to be able to go over this style and walk across the field. Now there's a lot of houses being built it resembles a small village. You can just see the houses in the background. Sadly, the footpath is inaccessible at the moment.

I parked the car up and made my way under the old railway bridge. The line is still in use so it's very noisy underneath when a train goes over.

The train line runs on the edge of the nature reserve.

I walked past a small holding that had horses and goats. I love the wooden reels. I upcycled one into a coffee table. I think this goat is using it for a bed and a 'look out' post.

I've no idea who 'Keith' is but there wasn't much bird life on the pond.

There was a couple of cygnets, but they will be flying off next spring for pastures new.

I love these wooden bridges. They remind me of playing pooh sticks as a kid. They were mentioned in the Winnie the Pooh books. You drop a stick over the side of a bridge and the one whose stick first appears on the otherside wins.

I then walked past the new housing development and back to my car.
