Wednesday Walk in the Peninsula

It was a nice afternoon, and again today I have some photos that I took in the afternoon afterword. it was during the preparation time that I decided to push myself to go out and do some street photography so that I have something to post on hive, and also to learn and to keep on trying so that I can be comfortable next time to do some street photography.

I decided to visit a place called Peninsula island, where I used to do a morning run before Covid hit, but after that, I gained quite a lot of weight, and running is not good for my knee as well as my back.

Back to the Peninsula Island, it was actually a small park with a jogging track,w ith a big statue in the middle. When I arrived there, I noticed that they were trying to move a big stone, that was part of the ornament in the park. I forgot what was written in the stone, but I guess it was the country's representatives during the opening of the park.

Here is the truck and the crane that was used to lift the huge stone side by side in front of the statue.

Another shot, after the crane was moving, and then the stone-loaded truck also moving away.

I get a chance to photograph this cute kid playing in the field before I heard a loud bang.

Apparently, the rope that was used to tie the stone was snapped, and the stone fell into the truck. I was lucky that the stone was not falling to the side, and also it caused no injury. well, they had things to explain later on.

Here is the statue from the front.

on the way back home, I took a shot of the signage of one of the establishments in the area, and looking at the state of the sign, I think they are closing down or already closed!
