Hello everyone in the Wednesday Walk community.
It's Wednesday again. And like previous weeks, today I am motivated to walk around to explore. Where will you lead us today? Different from previous weeks, today I will take you to a beach near my house.
This season is the rainy season in our place, it is often cloudy and rainy with wind. So the beaches also become empty because of the strong waves, it is different from the crowded and the water is quite calm and clear in the summer. However, there are still areas on the beach where many people gather to fish. At estuary locations in the rainy season like this, there are often many kinds of fish gathered here, so many people also come here to fish, making these areas become bustling compared to the rest of the beach.
Despite unfavorable weather conditions, many people still wear raincoats to come here to fish. They are the people who live around this area. Some of them come here to fish as a hobby, while others come here for the purpose of catching fish for meals for their families, some fishermen also come here because they cannot go to the ocean. Some people even told me they came here to fish because they didn't know what to do due to pandemic-related unemployment.
Whoever they are and what their goals are, I admire their patience. They can spend hours here even if some of them catch only a few small fish. I also tried to stay with them for a long time, about an hour, to see if any of them caught any big fish. But until I left, that didn't happen. Even though the winds and rain brought the cold from the ocean and the big waves occasionally hit the rocks and crashed into them, they stood there concentrating on their work. I myself got wet a few times due to these strong waves.
In addition, not mentioning the beautiful scenery here is also a shortcoming. From this area I can see the whole city. In the distance is the Son Tra Peninsula and the Hai Van Pass and the endless ocean. The clouds also make interesting shapes in the sky. The waves kept crashing against the shore. Occasionally strong waves crash into the rocks causing the water to splash like fireworks. And the indispensable part is the diligent anglers. All of the above creates a beautiful picture in these stormy days.
Well, I saw and learned interesting things about life today. I really appreciate this community for keeping me motivated to go out every Wednesday to see these things. My walk is over but the lessons are still there. There are still a lot of difficult lives out there, so we should be grateful for what we have. And patience pays off not only to anglers, but to so many other areas of life.
Again, I have another interesting walk. I saw interesting things and learned some lessons of my own. How about you? Please share your Wednesday Walk with us.
