AI Physical Therapist

Hello and Happy Sunday, readers!
The rainy weather continues here in Northwestern, Pennsylvania. Jeff and I attended Sunday School and church service this morning. The morning was beautiful and into the early afternoon. Jeff left to help his daughter and I was left to my own devices.

I completed an excess session using my work-sponsored digital physical therapist through a program that goes by the name of Sword.

The kit comes complete with a tablet, sensors, and bands to wear on your chest arms, thighs, and shins.

My Sword program targets hip rehabilitation. I enrolled in this free program because I've experienced a lot of hip pain from an ongoing ussue post surgery in 2018. Working a sit-down job causes hip pain. I'm not getting any younger, and at 61 I have to work harder to remain flexible. A sit-down job is not the best job for the body of any age and I don't want to be slack with taking proper care to be healthy.

I have been attempting to be more active and in addition to walking more often I am trying Sword before going to physical therapy outside of the home. I decided to give this free program a try. I've completed three sessions since meeting with an intake worker in a Zoom meeting last week and receiving my kit.

I can tell how it is helping with the type of exercises I do in these sessions. It's rather neat to do them. It reminds me of playing Wii. The sensors read your form and completion and award stars and a percentage after each exercise.

After completing the session I left to shop at Walmart. We needed water and a few other items. Our water is not drinkable. I bought cupcakes to celebrate our second wedding anniversary.

It poured rain on the way to Walmart but stopped as I arrived. The store is being expanded and I struggled to locate normal purchases. We are experiencing unavailable items on shelves.

Once I arrive home I had the daunting task of unloading the ten gallons of water, two gallons of Arizona green tea (one reason I drove to Walmart), coffee, and the miscellaneous other groceries I purchased. The bill came to $72. The price of groceries is much higher than last year.

Amazon dropped off the items I ordered for Jeff for our wedding anniversary. I ordered a card that won't arrive until tomorrow. I wrapped the two small gifts that I purchased and filled out a blank card I have here since I'm not sure when the card will arrive tomorrow.

Jeff returned from Erie and we decided not to go out to dinner since the steak house isn't open today or tomorrow. We watched the evening church service on television and ate sloppy jo sandwiches for dinner.

I'm reading a new book, The Man Who Broke Out of Auchwitcz, The Escape Artist, by Johnathan Freedland. I'm off to read and I hope you have had a good weekend.
