Happy Monday, my friends!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I had a nice weekend out of town with my husband.
We were invited to Fredericksburg, Virginia to visit my sister for my niece's wedding celebration on Saturday in Richmond.
Friday, after work, we hopped in the car a little after 5:00 PM and headed out. We arrived at my sister's lovely home at 11:00 PM. My sister met us on the driveway in her cute pajamas, she showed us our room, and we all went to bed. Six hours is exhausting to sit after eight hours working on the phones sitting.
Saturday morning we headed out to meet her daughters son-in-law and grandchildren at a battlefield nearby her home for a hike with the kids and a couple of her daughter's rescue dogs.
We stopped at the battlefield graveyard for a photo. You aren't allowed to enter this battlefield, but you can look through a metal gate at the gravestones inside.
Dinner Saturday night was in Richmond Virginia, an hour and a half away. We took one car and chatted all the way.

The drive was nice and the weather was perfect for the outdoor reception at a Thai restaurant patio. I met many people who know and love my sister. It is a first for many meetings with her friends and family.
We didn't meet until 2018 because my sister was adopted before my parents married. I get excited every time I get to see her because we missed out on the first part of each other's lives. This weekend was the first time we visited her beautiful home on the reservoir. It's very peaceful and scenic with a smooth reservoir and boats on the water. We had coffee in the early morning on a picnic table overlooking the reservoir Saturday.
The drive back felt painfully long yesterday and it's back to real life!
Monday we take time in the Alive Tribe to plan our week.
