I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Things don't often go as planned, on Hive or in life, and it's our ability to roll and flow with the what is actually present in each moment that determines how well we are capable of making use of the opportunities that are available to us. I schedule a good bit of my life around my Hive work, because Hive is very important to me. When things on Hive that usually work, and should work, for whatever reason don't work when I need them, out of necessity I adapt and improvise the best I can, to do what I need to do.

Hive is usually quite dependable, but yeah, sometimes things go awry, and even cause a cascade of issues, like when Hive Engine has problems. This is also why redundancy is so important. Via PeakD, Hive Engine sporadically stops functioning, which is somewhat annoying, but thankfully if I go to the Hive-Engine website, I can still often (though not always) do what I need to do in terms of token management. Curious, but true.

Being flexible when things don't work or go as we'd like on Hive is one of those super-useful skills that benefits us very well, indeed. Hive is very human - its functioning is solidly based on people, like you and me, so it will not be completely consistent. The sooner we learn to be OK with that, the better.

Sometimes this inconsistency can be a good thing, like when our Hive schedule is packed and we're tired, and something that was on our list isn't available or ready to do when we go to do it, like a contest. This can feel pretty nice, to have more breathing and wiggle room. This has happened to me several times.

Even when we think we're missing out on something when our plans don't unfold as expected, very often we receive more than we expect from somewhere else shortly after, out of the blue. This is another really sweet Hive inconsistency that I've come to love. Hive is human, and that human aspect reminds me to accept, appreciate, and love my own human inconsistency.

I've been in a really good flow with Hive going on two weeks now, with me being able to catch up and stay caught up, and generally do what I need to do, pretty easefully. That's been pretty enjoyable. As is my present flow, I give Hive my full (or mostly full) attention from morning to late afternoon, and then I go do some land work for a while. Yesterday went in that direction as well, with me finishing up (for a time) on Hive, and leaving the Flow House around 3:30PM, to go do some physical work.

The first task on my list was to do some jungle plumbing work, replacing a section of PVC piping that is essential for water to get to not only my nursery, but also Kana's house. After fixing it, I let it dry for a short time, then tested it out, and much to my delight, it worked as it should. After finishing with the plumbing, I did some weeding in the fenced garden, and in and around one of my new Coleus beds. When I had finished that, I got my machete and cleared around a very important and rare young fruit tree (Porcelia nitidifolia), that I had planted in the Star Apple Orchard a few months ago.

With my work done for the day, I took a hot shower (yay for hot water!), made myself food in the Landing, then headed back to the Flow House to dive into my evening round of Hive catch-up and tasks, which I completed pretty early again. I ended up going to sleep just before 11PM, and sleeping until about 4AM, when I woke up and couldn't sleep more, so I did a round of Hive tasks. I tried to sleep again after that, but that didn't really flow, so I got up around 7AM to go make my superfood fire coffee.

It's now almost 9AM, and I'm giving Omya a session soon, so it's a good time to end this post, so that I can do a quick round of Hive catch-up before she arrives. A quick note before I go, this post is #365, which means I've been doing these Daily Journal posts for one year today! I deeply appreciate you all! Until tomorrow morning! Onward and upward, joyfully together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
