¡Hola, mundo! Este viejo saludo que es de viejo uso de programadores viejos del siglo XX, es un saludo que me gusta usar con algo de frecuencia, y es bastante pertinente para la publicación del registro del día de hoy, ya explicaré en breve el porqué digo esto, ya que tiene que ver con la propagación de las redes sociales. Antes de entrar en el tema, debo comentar que en mi #vida fuera de línea el día había estado calmado, tenemos un clima de lluvia y está fresca la temperatura ambiente, pero justamente por todo eso, nuestro servicio eléctrico presenta algunas fallas, ya la electricidad me ha dado un susto mientras comenzaba a escribir y se fue por unos momentos, así que debo correr mientras dura el servicio. Como ya he dicho en otras oportunidades, al vivir en #Venezuela, uno se acostumbra a estas cosas.
Dejemos de lado el tema de los servicios públicos en mi país y lo referido a mi vida personal, pues no hay mucha novedad que quiera compartir, así que voy a entrar de una vez en la conversación sobre la efeméride del día de hoy en la #Historia. When I told my brother about today's date, the name caught our attention, because we remembered that on other occasions we had read about the day of the stray dog, or 'Cacri' dog, which is a nickname that we used to give to the dogs that do not have a defined and standardized breed, but are a random and motley mix of lineages. In short, it caught our attention, and I was reviewing why it was designated in 2004 with the name that I indicated in the previous paragraph, to tell the truth, I could not find who was responsible for this designation, but I did see that in that year there were proposals on social networks to establish a day to make people visible and sensitize about the need to care for non-breed dogs, if necessary, even an international organization such as the World Health Organization, the #WHO, pointed out that the Abandoned, stray and similar types of dogs (which are mostly non-breed dogs) constituted a problematic group of potential vectors for the spread of diseases, in addition to the cruel treatment these #dogs received.

Cuando le comenté a mi hermano sobre la fecha de hoy, nos llamó la atención el nombre, pues recordamos que en otras oportunidades habíamos leído sobre el día del perro callejero, o perro ‘Cacri’, que es un apodo que le solíamos decir a los perros que no tienen una raza definida y estandarizada, sino que son una mezcla aleatoria y variopinta de linajes. En fin, nos llamó la atención y revisaba el porqué se designó en el año 2004 con el nombre que señalé en el párrafo anterior, a decir verdad, no logré encontrar quien fue el responsable de esta designación, pero si vi que en ese año hubo propuestas en redes sociales para establecer un día para visibilizar y sensibilizar a la gente acerca de la necesidad de atender a los perros sin raza, llegado el caso, incluso un organismo internacional como la Organización Mundial de la Salud, la #OMS, señalaba que los perros abandonados, callejeros y de tipos similares (que en su mayoría suelen ser perros sin razas) constituían un grupo problemático de potenciales vectores de propagación de enfermedades, además de que resultaba cruel el trato que llegaban a recibir estos #perros.

At home most of the dogs I remember us having had were non-breeds, largely because they were dogs that were much more resilient and healthy than various breeds of dogs, plus their loyalty was by no means less. I grew up in different locations, but almost everywhere, we had dogs in the family, they were #pets, guards, companions, and many good things in all my memories. I think I'm going to get very nostalgic if I continue like this (personal laugh). Anyway, it's better that I close to be able to post, because we've already had power failures during the day and if I'm not careful they might not let me post today. La propuesta de la fecha de hoy, parece que se logró establecer en cierta medida por la interacción de diversas organizaciones de protección #animal, que usaron sus redes sociales para motivar el asunto. En lo personal, me sorprende que la fecha sea relativamente reciente. En casa la mayoría de los perros que recuerdo que hemos tenido han sido perros sin raza, en buena parte, porque eran perros que eran mucho más resistentes y saludables que varias razas de perros, además de que su lealtad no era menor en ninguna medida. Esos perros que recuerdo tenían algunos rasgos que te podían dar una pista de cuál era la mezcla de la que se había originado, pero sin dudas que no eran de linaje ‘puro’ o ‘certificado’.
Crecí en diferentes localidades, pero en casi todas partes, teníamos perros en la familia, fueron #mascotas, guardias, compañeros, y muchas cosas buenas en todos mis recuerdos. Creo que me voy a poner muy nostálgico si sigo así (risa personal). En fin, es mejor que cierre par poder publicar, porque ya hemos tenido fallas de electricidad durante el día y si me descuido puede que no me dejen publicar hoy. Te deseo que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.
