We Are Alive! Thankfully, a mile away from the explosions

Interesting night. About 9:00 we heard a massive boom that shook the house. And the booms kept coming, crackling and thundering. We went outside and the sky was glowing red. For a moment, we wondered if we were being bombed!

booomboomboomboomboomboom!

We didn't know what was going on for a while, we stood outside our house looking towards the direction of the explosions. It was more noisy then bright. But when I say noisy, I mean like thousands of thunderclaps all in a row.

Our neighbors all went out of their houses and looked towards the glowing sky, marveling over the noise. It sounded like a firework store exploding and we wondered if that was what it was. We began preparing to evacuate, but first we wanted to find more information. Everyone was on their phones, calling different people, finding out what's happening.

Industrial fire. Paint shop? Takes a long time to finish exploding. We found it was only about a mile away from us, which is why it was shaking the house! When one of my neighbors gave the cross streets, I immediately realized, that's right across the street from the Wendy's I like to take the children to.

I hop on google maps and find the location. They said it was right next to the Burger King and Walgreens. I knew exactly where it was.

!

What is there that could explode? There isn't any paint shops there, some said train derailment (there are train tracks right there), some said industrial plant. So what's there?

It's the Goo Smoke Shop. A weed dispensary (or tobacco shop) that exploded! But their primary product is.... laughing gas. N20. They also sell a lot of lithium batteries and butane.

That explains all the boomboombooms, all those cartridges exploding over and over. That is why is sounded like a firework store exploding!

Oh an a 10,000 gallon tank of diesel. BOOOOOOM!

IT was some excitement for the evening. It was interesting observing our children's reaction. Even though Lauren and I were very calm (more curious than anything else) some of our children panicked. We calmed them down and assured them we will be ok. But for a moment there, we wondered if we were dealing with a poo/fan bug-out type situation.

But no, it was a "smoke shop" exploding. Mostly laughing gas canisters exploding.

Some excitement tonight! We are ALIVE!

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations.

Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books. I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.
