Tonight and tomorrow, we observe the day of Atonement, a High Sabbath, a day of no work. We put all of our preparations on hold, while we observe this important Holy day.
I tell our children that God gave us one day of fasting (Kippur), and then seven days of rejoicing (Sukkot). If that wasn't enough, God give us an extra day, that's why Sukkot is EIGHT days long, at extra day of FEASTING to make up for the ONE day of the fast.
We have our checklists in place and the children are packing up their gear. We are leaving Sunday and it's quite the production.

Bless the Most High!
