We Are Alive! October 23rd, 2023 Packing up and Coming Home

Last day at the campground and we're packing up. Because of the size of our campsite, it takes quite a while to pack everything up. This is something we're still practicing.

The children warm up by the fire with hot chocolate while daddy and mommy pack up camp. Someday, all of us will be doing it together.

We enjoyed some home-made English muffins, that we made before the trip. They remained frozen for almost two weeks in our ice chest!

Packing up the tent and taking apart and packing away the double cots is a project all on it's own.

Our gracious hosts invited us to a local apple orchard, but we needed that time to pack. If we were much faster, we could have gone! Lesson learned!

We collapsed the tent - the campsite is almost completely packed up!

It takes us about 4.5 hours from start to finish. That's packing the cloths and cleaning up the tent, and disassembling the wood stove, and the canopy, packing the cots (4x), cleaning the floor, rolling up the tent. We would like to get this done quicker, maybe 3 hours, but for now it takes half a day!

Everything fits neatly in the bus, making it easy to load. The trailer took extra time to pack, so our new vehicle is a time-saver!

Camp is all cleaned up, it's time to go! Good by beautiful campsite! Traveling home was uneventful and only took us about an hour and a half.

We were home in time for diner!

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations.

Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books. I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.
