My second daughter turned EIGHT today and we celebrated together as a family. We don't make a huge deal out of birthdays, but we do remember their birth and the significance surrounding it.

This is the first year that her sisters bought birthday presents with their own money. She got a big box of chocolates, some glow sticks and a birthday balloon. She also got a flower crown, boogie boards (for at the pool and lake) and a bunch of balloons!

More than the gifts, she really liked having the grandparents over and spending some time together.

It's amazing to think my baby is eight years old already. I've heard people say over and over that time passes quicker when you get older, I think that is true!
