So the Michigan GOP (Grand 'ol Party) is electing a new chair, but how do we know who to vote for? Ask them questions!

Nine candidates are running for the position and tonight was the opportunity to hear them all speak and to ask them questions. It took a long time (even if they only had a few minutes each) for all of them to respond.

I won't give my opinion here, since nobody knows who these people are, but the evening was an opportunity to narrow the selection. Start by disqualifying before qualifying.

I was impressed how well everyone on stage spoke about their competition. They had a lot of good things to say about each other. There is a very wide range of people on stage and they all had different perspectives on how to make things better.

By the end of the evening, our boy was getting pretty restless. He was crying and squirming a lot, we need to practice with him sitting and remaining quiet for events like these. He's good for the first hour or so, but it's a lot to ask for our 17 month old to sit for THREE HOURS.

We were feeling a little restless after three hours, too.
