We Are Alive! February 20th, 2023 New Piano?

An interesting opportunity came up over the weekend. Friends of our informed us of their relative who has a piano that he wants to give away. Why would anyone give away a piano? They're surprisingly difficult to sell!

The gentleman's mother had passed and he was cleaning out the house. He was asking around if they knew anyone who would like a piano and I guess our names came up!

We called and scheduled a visit for today and had a chance to inspect and play the piano. We determined we wouldn't pass up this opportunity, but we needed some more manpower to transport the piano to our home.

The children are upset because we're discussing what to do with the electric piano we have now. They're not big on change and do not realize the having a real piano is better than an electric one. There are advantages to the electric piano, but the acoustics and feel are only imitations of the real thing.

My wife @lturner played some and inspected the piano. It's only about 25 years old, lightly used, in great shape. It's an amazing opportunity, we just have to make arrangements to transport it.

What do you think, should we upgrade to a real piano?

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books. I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.
