While we were camping at the park, one activity we did not get to do was go to the pool. We promised the children we'd be back to enjoy the pool one evening, but they were skeptical. But daddy and mommy followed through and we came to the park for the pool and especially the big waterslide!
We received four vouchers for entry to the pool for camping, so we got the three oldest and mama into the pool area!
The three big girls look at the big water slide with some trepidation, but they're determined to go down it!
Daddy stayed with the three youngest and we watched the girl's first time down the slide. It looked like a lot of fun! Daniel was sad that he didn't get into the pool, since he was too short for the slide, but we visited the splash pad and he cheered right up.
The "floaties" were probably not needed, but it did help me keep track of the location of my children.
It was a hot evening, so the water was very refreshing, even for daddy.
The little ones had a lot of fun splashing around on the pad. They probably had more fun there than even at the pool!
Since this was an "after diner" activity and since the pool closed at 7, the big girls left the pool with giggles and smiles after going down the slide about five times each. Even mamma went down at least once! She said it has been a long time since she was in a pool.
It was a fun evening and a great blessing that we are so close to a park with so many fun activities. The children all enjoyed the evening and came home with many smiles.
