Saludos a todos. Es mi primera publicación en esta comunidad donde se comparte contenido de uno de nuestros mayores entretenimientos, el cine y la televisión. Uno de los primeros contactos que tenemos con esta industria cuando aun ni siquiera hemos aprendido a hablar bien, o a leer y escribir es a través de los dibujos animados. Los dibujos animados forman parte de la infancia de todos, sea cual sea la época en la que viviste tu infancia, estos divertidos programas donde todo es posible formaban parte de nuestro día a día. Cuando era pequeña veía muchos dibujos animados, o como les decimos aquí en mi país, comiquitas. Aun me siguen gustando y si de casualidad me encuentro con alguna de estas series que tanto me gustaban mientras hago zapping en el cable, pues me siento a disfrutarlas jejeje. >Hello to everyone. Uno de los animales más personificados en los dibujos animados es el gato. Los gatos viven cerca de nosotros y son unas de las mascotas más populares, lo que nos ha permitido compartir e interactuar con ellos durante mucho tiempo así que los conocemos bien, o al menos eso creemos jajaja. **Félix el gato / Felix the cat** Empezaré esta lista con el gato Felix, si bien pertenece a una generación muy lejana ya, la del cine mudo, es el pionero de este grupo de gatos célebres por ser el primer gato que apareció en unos dibujos animados, este personaje apareció en 1919 durante la época del cine mudo en cortometrajes distribuidos por Paramount Pictures. El simpático gato negro de grandes ojos y sonrisa amplia se convirtió en toda una celebridad en la cultura popular estadounidense de principios del siglo XX y su imagen empezó a aparecer en todo tipo de productos. El origen de su creación ha estado siempre en disputa entre el caricaturista y animador Otto Messmer y Pat Sullivan, dueño del estudio de animación de donde salió Félix. **Silvestre / Sylvester** El gato Silvestre apareció por primera vez junto al famoso canario en el corto de dibujos animados de Piolín, Tweetie Pie (1947). Representa a un gato tuxedo o bicolor blanco y negro y tiene una gran nariz roja que no parece de gato sino de payaso. Fue creado por Friz Freleng quien lo bautizó así inspirado en el nombre científico de los gatos, *Felis silvestris*. >Sylvester the cat appeared for the first time together with the famous canary in the cartoon short film, Tweetie Pie (1947). **Tom** El gato Tom es uno de mis favoritos de esta lista de gatos célebres. Este inquieto y hermoso gato gris azulado y blanco fue creado por William Hanna y Joseph Barbera en 1940. Vive en una casa y pasa por un sin fin de aventuras y enredos para atrapar al astuto ratón Jerry. Cada vez que intenta atrapar a Jerry elpobre Tom termina con un chichón en la frente, golpeado por un martillo, aplastado por algún objeto pesado, atacado por un perro, con la cola quemada, con la lengua estirada, castigado por Tomasa o quien sabe cuántas cosas más jajaja. Su característico grito de dolor fue creado por el propio William Hanna. >Tom the cat is one of my favorites on this list of famous cats. Tom no siempre tiene intenciones de comerse a Jerry, a veces sólo se quiere vengar, otras busca exhibirlo como trofeo para presumir frente a alguna hermosa gatita y hay veces que sólo quiere evitar que el travieso ratón lo delate y así termine ganándose un escobazo de parte de su dueña. Por otro lado, y como dato no tan positivo, Tom y Jerry se llevan el premio a la violencia al ser considerados como la serie con más acciones violentas por minuto. **Don Gato / Top Cat** Don Gato es muy especial para mi porque cuando era pequeña él era mi favorito, yo amaba a Don Gato jejeje, incluso tenía un muñeco de él que se inflaba y era como un peluche pero de plástico. Este gato es muy carismático, tiene una personalidad muy extrovertida, es inteligente, astuto, diplomático y todo un galán, cualidades que lo convierten en el líder indiscutible de una manada de gatos callejeros de Manhattan que en cada episodio se meten en un sin fin de problemas. A Don Gato no le gusta trabajar y siempre encuentra la manera de obtener ganancias con el menor esfuerzo posible y usando todo tipo de artimañas y engaños junto a sus cinco compinches, planes que el oficial Matute, encargado de vigilar el callejón, intenta descifrar para atraparlos y sacarlos de allí, aunque en el fondo y a su manera los quiere mucho, a pesar que termina pagando él los platos rotos jajaja. >Top Cat is very special to me because when I was a child he was my favorite, I loved Top Cat hehehe, I even had a doll of him that inflated and was like a teddy but made of plastic. Sin duda alguna los gatos están entre los animales con más personajes presentes en el mundo de los dibujos animados, aparte de Don Gato y su pandilla, Silvestre, Félix, Tom y Garfield podemos nombrar a Azrael, el malvado gato de Gargamel y enemigo de los pitufos, al excéntrico gato de Cheshire de Alicia en el País de las maravillas, al bizarro Stimpy de Ren y Stimpy, al atrevido gato con botas, a Luna de Sailor Moon, al gato cósmico Doraemón, a Bola de Nieve de los Simpsons y a Hello Kitty. Sin embargo, ninguno de ellos han alcanzado tanta popularidad en el mundo de la televisión y el cine y ha obtenido tantos reconocimientos como estos diez gatos que les presenté.
