Plagiarism :
According to the oxford dictionary "Plagiarism is presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement."
The etymology of the word plagiarism is from the word “plagiarius” meaning “kidnapper, seducer, plunderer..”
Infact, Some Newcomers try shortcut to earn upvotes. They search best contents and simply copy and paste these contents in their post and show that these are their own contents. But these contents get downvotes instead of upvotes.
If you want to use any picture or other content then mention its source with the content.
Now, I explain it with some practical examples.
If you see a beautiful picture on any website and you want to use it in your post. Like best islands Maldives then upload your photo and provide source below photo. for exapmle i upload Islands Maldives photo below and also write source of this photo below this photo. When you Click on Source, you went to the page from where I download this photo. This is called "citing"
If you see any interesting Quote and want to use it in your post then write name of author below the quote very clearly.

If you want to use any definition or research then write dictionary or book in which this definition or research is written. You can use following method for mentioning.

Try to create your own content. It is difficult in start but it is the right way of working in Hive Blockchain. Show your skills in your posts. If you are a writer then write on interesting topics. If you are a photographer then Create entertaining Photos. If you are a trader in cryptocurrency then share your experience of trading with community.
