Porridge beans and potatoes (creative Sunday)

Greetings hive learners,
This is my first creative Sunday post here on hive learners.
I've tried verifying myself on the discord channel but I haven't been verified yet maybe due to some technical problems.
I will be very happy if am verified here and i promise to adhere to all the rules and regulations of these wonderful community.

These week's creative Sunday I present to everyone, my special porridge beans with potatoes,
These dish happens to be one of my favorites dish and I hope you'll love it.



Ingredients needed


🌻4large piece of potatoes
🌻2cups of beans
🌻half cup of red oil
🌻1medium sized onions
🌻3pieces of dry fish
🌻2cubes of maggi seasoning
🌻Salt to taste
🌻Pepper (fresh or dry)
🌻Scent leaf for garnishing



Procedure

The cooking duration is about 1hour 15mins,
It takes these long because of the beans added though the cooking duration can differ depending on the specie of beans you decide to use,

Step1

These particular beans comes with some particles like chaff and stone so is advisable to separate the beans from the stones and chaffs before cooking

Step2

After separating the beans from the stones , properly wash the beans inother to get rid of the white dust used for preservation, then transfer to a clean pot and bring to boil

Step 3

cut the potatoes into your desired shapes and size and set aside, slice the onions , blend the pepper if fresh ,pick and slice the scent leaf and lastly remove the bones from the dry fish

Step4

It is advisable to remove the first water used in parboiling beans so remove the first water and add a new one,
Allow to boil

step 5

Add the peeled potatoes to the beans and all to boil till the beans and potatoes is very soft

Add the dry fish or crayfish , salt , onions, pepper, cube seasoning, and red oil and allow to boil for about five minutes

step7

Stir the food very well after the five minutes and add the scent leaf for garnishing.
Allow to boil for another two minutes
Note: scent leaf is not just for garnishing but it also has a strong and wonderful taste that kicks out the great taste of porridge

Step8

Allow the food to thicken as you stir it ,
Bring down and serve .
Your delicious porridge potatoes and beans is ready
