A MISCONCEPTION ABOUT MOTIVATION || FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Recently, I read a short tweet about motivation and I was moved by it. It was quite different from what I had always thought and getting to know this gave me a second thought; How true could this be? Okay, I guess you must be thinking what is this misconception about?

The misconception is that one needs to be motivated before any action can be taken place. And truth is, that is what I have always thought. My thoughts as always been one needs the motivation to start before he can actually finish but now, I am getting to reason it from a whole different angle.

Before MOTIVATION can be achieved ACTION needs to be taken place first. It is more like saying:

You can't drive a car without starting the Engine

If we wait for motivation before taking action, then we may likely not begin at all. That's the reason why we find people procrastinating because they refuse to take action first and choose to wait for motivation before making any move.

So what is the point here?

You don't need to wait for any perfect time before you take action. You don't need to be in the right mood, you don't need to wait for someone to motivate you, you don't have to be in a good situation or good mood. JUST TAKE ACTION!

Because if you wait for the perfect time, you may never get it. If you wait for someone to motivate you, you may never get it. But one thing is sure, MOTIVATION always come after the ACTION needed has taken place. That is when you derive motivation from your inner self being or from people around you.

I would really want to know, Have there ever been a time when you never did something because you were waiting for the time you would be in a good mood? How much do you think this misconception is true? I would appreciate your comment by curating them.
