Old habits die hard is one of the most popular saying in the world today, this saying means that it will very difficult to correct a particular habit of one if it is not corrected early, it is not totally impossible but it will be very hard to correct but with time and consistency it will surely birth positive result....
This particular saying is actually applied to me in all aspects, talking about it I remember back then, the good old times when I was a book nerd lol, talking about a book nerd just took me back to my high school days...
The time where every aspect of my life was focused on coming out in flying colors in whatever i do, I always want to be congratulated for one thing or the other and for that to happen I needed to be the best among the best and that was how I became a book nerd...
To be the best among the best is very easy yet very hard because you are always busy reading ahead of every topic before it's been taught in the class just because you don't want to be a looker when questions are been asked randomly and you happen to be among...
Apart from being super active in the class, it is one of the best way to attract girls to yourself, one fact about girls is that they tend to fall easily for the brilliant
dudes in the class and luckily for me I was amongst these sets of guys but I was not always giving girls the chance in my life because back then they were my distraction from toping the class so I avoided them a lot...
It didn't stop there but that was the first step I took to achieve my goal of becoming a book nerd, I was always reading and writing in my high school days that most people wonder what I write two weeks to tests or exam until they saw me one day...
I am someone who doesn't like reading big big textbooks during test or exams but before test or exams , I work with those text books and then after reading the whole day, I draft the key definitions in my hand made key points to revise when I get to school...
This has been my habit for a long time and it is still my habit presently, I prefer reading text books and then translating it in my understanding to my key points for future purposes...
My friends are very well aware of the fact that I love reading and that I am always walking with heavy bags with nothing less than 5 textbooks, biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics and English to study in class...
I was able to maintain my position in class because of my reading and studying habit, I walk to and fro to school with these text books everyday and it became an habit that I couldn't even stop during exams, I prefer to carry my textbooks to the hall than going with just some notes to revise lolz ππ€£π€£...
I don't do my things like that and that was what made me standout amongst my peers....
So back to the question of the second edition which says EBOOK vs PAPERBACKS....
Well well well, judging from my Introduction sentences my answer to this beautiful question has been beautifully provided...
EBOOKS vs PAPERBACKS...
We were made differently right from the onset and that means we can never be the same, there might be some similarities but we can never be made the same way...
One thing about me is that I cherish anything that gives me convenience and ease, I don't care if it's outdated or newly invented, if the ancient one serves my needs easily and conveniently then I will forever remain an ancient man β€οΈ just as if it's the modern one that does me well, I will surely go for it...
Well when it comes to reading and studying for exams, tests or to be foundationally equiped, I prefer the local type, I prefer the traditional way of reading and studying, I prefer carrying heavy bags filled with text books day and night because that is what benefits me the most because it is what I trained myself with from the onset...
I taught myself to be dependent on not only textbooks and notebooks but to be able to write the meaning of words in my own understanding and to be able to present it in a way where my audience or marker will know it is done from my understanding of the topic and not that of the textbook and this leading to a beautiful grading of such subject..
WHY WILL I GO FOR A TRADITIONAL
BOOK ππ???
Well I don't really have much of a reason why I will prefer reading from the traditional book but I will talk a bit on why I will go for it at all cost...
As I have told you all in the introduction paragraph that I trained myself to be a lover of books and textbooks, it became an habit that I couldn't do without even when I am writing exams, I still make sure I go to the hall with my textbooks as a supporting system...
I have built up my brain to move and understand what it reads from the text books and to help me to convert everything into simpleton for better understanding by my fellow friends...
I didn't start my life with reading from phone but with the traditional way of reading which was carrying of books and textbooks all day long and because of my love for textbooks I have come to cherish reading from them than on my phone...
It might be stressful to most people especially when it comes to topic search, well let me tell you that the reason why you have problem searching for topics is because you haven't devoted enough time to read and understand what the whole text book entails and what type of topics are included in it...
These are the first things I do when I was still a newbie in reading textbooks, I just love carrying loads and heavy backpacks because that is my easiest way of understanding and assimilating everything I am reading....
It is indeed traditional but I love it because it keeps me ahead of others because teachers won't use their phones to teach us but they will teach us with the text book by which they are given by the school...
In summary, I remembered the time I was still a teacher and my school didn't provide me with textbooks to teach and I had to teach my students by all means and I looked at the topic and then I remembered the one I was taught in my high school days, I reorganised it from advanced secondary level to junior secondary level and I made them understand it perfectly that I enjoyed it more than the ones I found on the web..
In conclusion, I was only able to help my students understand that topic better because I had understood it before graduating and thanks to the way my brain changed the words, I was able to remember and still convert it into smaller pieces for the understanding of my students and that was made possible because of my close relationship with my textbooks and key points....
We get use to the initials of life more than any other things and that is why it is mostly hard to stay away from anything that has to do with our firsts in life..
