THE FACES ON NAIRA NOTES🧩🧩…

IMG_5660.jpeg

Wow, this is pretty interesting and quite funny to be honest, and the fact is that I almost skipped this week’s edition three topic because I felt like for someone to be used as the face of our currency(naira), such person must have in one way or another contributed to the growth and prosperity of the country over the last couple of decades, which means there have to be some merits attached to such persons identity either in the past or in the present, and I also feel like the current faces on our currency right now is just perfect, which means there is no need to change the faces of these past heroes, they have indeed earned their spot and that is why their faces are on our currency till date…

Even with the fact that I didn’t get to meet or know any one of these past heroes personally, records of their lives and deeds has been made, which includes everything they have done to make Nigeria what it is today, these past heroes have done one or two things just to make Nigeria a great country…

These past heroes either died before I was born or they died while I was growing up, the only leader I clearly remember as one of Nigeria’s past heroes is the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, he was once the president of Nigeria, and according to what I heard and read about him, which was also written in down in history, he was a good president in his time and he was also loved by his people…

What I am trying to say to you all now is that an ordinary man’s face can not be used as the face of Nigeria’s currency, that is to say; a man with no merits or accomplishments has no right to be the face of our currency, and for someone to be the face of our currency, you must have some merits attached to your name or you must have contributed to the growth and prosperity of the country in one way or the other, either in the past or in the present…

Past heroes like Alhaji Tafawa Balewa, Alvan Ikoku, Muritala Muhammad, Ladi Kwali, Obafemi Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, Nnamdi Azikwe and the ones on the 1000 naira notes, these people have some merits attached to their name when they were still alive and that is why their faces are on our currency, which brings us to the question of the day; having the power to change the faces on our currency, who would I pick and why???…

  WHO AND WHY???

I believe I have given some hints to my choices in the introduction paragraphs, but here it is again, the only person or people qualified to be the face or faces present on the Nigeria currency are people that have in one way or the other contributed to the greatness and growth of our country in the last couple of years, which means you must have done one or two great things that is in record before you can earn a spot on our currency, which brings us to my answer and why…

OLUSEGUN OBASANJO & MOSHOOD ABIOLA…

These two great men deserve to be the faces of Nigeria currency, I have known both General Olusegun Obasanjo and MKO Abiola for years now, especially M.K.O Abiola, this man lives on in the heart of many people, his name is written everywhere and also engraved in the hearts of many people, it will be a great honor to have his face on our currency…

These men have really helped Nigeria to become a great country in their years of service, they have indeed contributed to the growth and prosperity of our country, they were not just leaders, they were something much bigger and better, they are well known for their great achievements and contributions towards the economy of the country, which is why it will be a great honor to have them as the face of our country’s currency…

Moshood Abiola had a nickname when he was still alive, he was nicknamed; the President Who Never Ruled, and this is because he proved himself to be a better ruler without a throne on his head, he earned all the respect he has today and that is why he deserves to be the face of our country’s currency, same as Obasanjo…

In summary, I had to choose these men because they are known for their great sacrifice and contributions towards the growth and development of Nigeria, they are what we call exceptional leaders…

In conclusion, Respect to the late MKO Abiola, he was indeed a great man and it would be a great honor and privilege to have him as the face of our currency…
