What if I tell you I never knew what zodiac signs are until earlier today? I got to know where I fall into and was amazed at what I read. It is always good to learn something because ignorant is a big disease and I must admit the fact that I was in the unknown before now.
Though, I always hear people talk about it, but never occurred to me to read about it because I thought what is my business in that, not knowing it's something relating to our personalities.
According to astrology, a person's personality is predicted using their sign and it is also possible to predict the future by looking at the position of the sun, moon and planets to compare to the zodiac constellation. Zodiac signs can be referred to as horoscope which is used to predict the future using a map.
While researching zodiac signs, I got to know that a person's particular sign of the zodiac is the one that the sun was in when they were born. I tried using my birthday to determine where I am and I was amazed to see where I belong to.
My zodiac sign is CAPRICORN which made me curious to know more and to see if what it says about my personality is true or false.
The dates of the Capricorn zodiac sign start from December 21 to January 20, and since I was born on the 14th of January, I fall into the category. The symbol is represented by a sea goat with the planet (Saturn). Capricorn is the 10th sign of the zodiac sign.
The sea goat is a mythical creature of a goat and fish which means, there is a cross between a goat and fish.
This is interesting, right?
Now, let's move on to the personality traits of a Capricorn relating to my life.
Personality traits:
Capricorns are said to be authentic, real and honest.
This is very true about me and that got me smiling since it matches my lifestyle. I love to be real and not pretend to be someone else. I go for original and you can never see me acting against my personality. I believe when I am original, you have to accept me the way I am or you leave, that will never make me change myself to please you.
I love my personality and I stay within my limit. I am not the kind that runs around wanting to move with what is trending. I am content with what I have and appreciate the little abundance in me. Being satisfied is my thing and one thing I always focus on is, my time will come to do the great things others are doing, and shouldn't be in a hurry to jump on the latest bandwagon because I see my friends getting it.
Many people just want to do things above their limits and it makes them keep falling into one problem or the other. We are humans and there are certain things we wouldn't be able to get, and there is a limit to the power and energy we possess. We cannot outrun our destinies and I believe that there are things we shouldn't go beyond because we have limits.
Another thing about me is that I believe we should go for the real things that matter because, in the end, all is vanity. We would leave everything behind one day when death comes knocking, but what we should never forget is leaving behind the truth, a good legacy for our generation. I am always scared and hoping to leave a good impact for those behind me, should in case, the worse happens.
Just like the goat, Capricorns are high achievers and business oriented.
The aspect of the sea goat symbol says a lot about goats being scrappy and some of them are capable of climbing to great heights. I have seen a goat climbing a high mountain in my village, and this says it all that goats will keep climbing and never relent. This is another thing about me. It's rare for me to give up on something because I would want to give it my best and learn something from it.
With all these being said about Capricorns, there are some challenges they face too, which are;
They can be workaholics and tend to let their drive or quest for success get the best of them.
This is one weakness about me too that many times, I have deprived myself of rest just because I want to get something done and if I don't, I might not take my rest until the body breaks down itself.
Another challenge is that Capricorns cannot handle relationships smoothly and they turn to their opposing sign (Cancer) for a lesson on how to nurture themselves, relationships and emotional lives.
They are so committed to a person in the relationship that they easily fall in love and trust the other person because all they seek for is a life partner. This might be dangerous especially when heartbreak occurs. They find it difficult to get back on their feet.
In conclusion, Capricorns can be a perfect match for Virgos in a relationship as they work together in love. I have been able to understand the capricorns and would gladly opine that this is my zodiac sign because it says a lot about my personality.
