To Ban or not to Ban: my take on alcohol and drugs

Looking at the world we live in now, I don't think it is necessary for alcohol to be banned because most people use it as a means of escaping from the unpleasant things happening around them.

I have someone who does that whenever she feels down or depressed, so instead of making a harsh decision that might lead to regrets later, she would drink alcohol and sleep for as long as she could, and after that, she would feel better and move on with her life.

It happens that her boyfriend, who has proposed to her, leaves to marry another girl with the lame excuse that she is too perfect for him. She has a stable income, which means she wouldn't be submissive in the marriage if they took their relationship to the next level.

Ever since the guy left, my friend hasn't been herself; she always thinks and cries. She was gradually submitting herself to depression because she loves the guy so much, and aside from that, she never saw the heartbreak coming; if not, she would have prepared herself for it, so she chose alcohol as her escape route from depression before harming herself.

I don't have any problem with people drinking alcohol as long as people don't abuse it, but getting addicted to it is what makes me dislike alcohol.

But then, let's say I have the power to ban alcohol. Well, I wouldn't hesitate to do so because people think it helps them get away from thinking. Meanwhile, I don't see anything alcohol does other than make someone high and do all sorts of things you wouldn't dare when you are sober.

I know it wouldn't be an easy task to do, but looking at the side effects of drinking alcohol, I would rather ban it for people to have good health than let them have it while their health is at risk.

There are things alcohol causes to human health that they don't know because they thought they were using it to suppress depression. From there, they would get used to it, and when they got used to it, the chances of getting affected by the alcohol would rise.

Hard drugs on their own are very dangerous to deal with because everyone who is using them knows what they are getting into without anyone telling them. They know it would make them lose their senses right after taking it, so they just don't care about the bad side of taking drugs.

But alcohol, most people think since they are not drinking it every day, they are safe. Meanwhile, alcohol wouldn't harm you immediately if you took it because it is very addictive to take since some would sleep, so they always think it helps them, which is not true.

Both alcohol and drugs have their different ways of damaging human health because anything that would make someone lose their memory for some minutes or more is dangerous.

They are both dangerous, but alcohol is still less dangerous compared to drugs because once someone is addicted to drugs, only God can revive them, and the bad effects of drugs are more dangerous compared to alcohol side effects.

On the pack of cigarettes, it was clearly written that smokers are liable to die young, so for that reason, drugs are more dangerous than alcohol because it was only advertised that alcohol is not for someone under the age of 18, which means alcohol is not as dangerous as drugs.

Taking alcohol and drugs away would definitely make the world a better place because most underage children are now into drugs and alcohol, which makes them miserable and misbehave as well.

I know some wouldn't want me to ban drugs and alcohol, which would be 90% of people who make money from drugs and alcohol, but the rest of the 10% who want a better world for their generation would support taking drugs and alcohol away. I wouldn't hesitate to ban both of them if I had the power to do so.
