Just Munch the Fritters! Aloo chop ,Beguni bhaja and gobhi Pakoda!

Today I am sharing three recipes of Fritters. One is cauliflower pakoda (gobhi pakoda), second is Aloo Chop (potato Pakoda) and third one is Beguni Bhaja that is Eggplant fried .

Aloo chop and beguni are street foods of Bengal. Its also very famous fritters. These fritters goes well with Murmura that is puffed rice known as Moori and chai(Tea). Specially Aloo chop goes well with a bowl of Moori and Beguni is generally served with rice dal or Khichudi.

During festival season of Durga puja in Bengal we can see lots of stalls sells Aloo chop and Beguni Bhaja. There are many variations of the recipes.

So lets see how to make all these fritters.


INGREDIENTS

Gramflour-500gm
Riceflour-½cup
Potato-3-4
Cauliflower-1cup
Brinjal-1 (long purple one)
Turmeric powder-½tbspn
Redchili powder-½tbspn
Salt- to the taste
Cumin seeds-½tspn
Fennel seeds-½tspn
Ginger -½inch
Black pepper-4
Onions-½cup (finely chopped)
Oil -for frying
Garlic grated -1tbspn
Coriander powder-½tspn
Water- according to the need


METHOD

Gobhi pakoda-

Boil cauliflower florets for 5 mins in hot water with salt.

Then in a mortar add ginger.

Then add Cumin seeds

Add Fennel seeds

And blackpepper

Crush it with the help of mortal pestle

Now in a bowl add rice flour and gram flour.

Add the coarse powder and salt.

Now add red chili powder and turmeric powder

Further add boiled florets of cauliflower.

Mix all well with little water.

Now heat oil in a pan for deep frying

When the oil is hot then fry the florets of cauliflower

Fry till they are golden brown and crispy

Now strain it in a butter paper


For aloo chop-

Boil potatoes with salt.

Heat oil in a pan.

Add onions.

Saute it for 2 mins.

Then crush some garlic cloves.

Add the crushed garlic.

Add turmeric powder, redchili powder.

Then add coriander powder and salt

Further add mashed boiled potatoes.

Then mix it properly.

Now in a bowl add gram flour, redchili powder and salt.

Then add little water and make a batter.

Take small amount of masala in hand.

And make small patties.

Place them all in a plate.

Dip the patties into the batter.

And carefully deep fry the patties.

Fry till the chop is golden in color.

Place all the chops in a plate.


For Beguni bhaja-

Now cut brinjals for Beguni in circle.

Dip the brinjal into the batter of the gramflour and rice flour.

Now deep fry the coated brinjal.

Stir occasionally and Fry until it turn golden brown.

Strain it.

Now serve all the Pakodas in a serving plate and its ready to have!

You can air fry these if you are calorie counting person. But some day cheat meal is good 👍.
