THE REASON WHY I HATE TRAVELLING

I know you were surprised when I said I hate travelling. The truth is that I don't hate travelling because I love going to new places and visiting new states, but the situation that I always find myself in every time that I am travelling is what makes me sick of travelling.

I always experience nausea whenever I am travelling. As you all know, the causes of nausea are not always due to underlying diseases or something serious. We have a lot of things that cause nausea, and the one that used to happen to me was motion from a car. I haven't entered a plane before, so I don't know about that.

One of the experiences that I used to get was the feeling of vomiting. I talked to @kingsleyy some days ago on WhatsApp about this because he used to experience the same thing every time he was travelling, and he went ahead to tell me that he has removed travelling from his hobby because of it.

Even today I was inside a car travelling to a place, and that's how I get uncomfortable in the car because I was feeling nauseous, and the worst part of it was that I was in the back of the car, which happens to be a commercial one with plenty of people inside. I wish I could fly to where I am going, but it's not possible, and all I can wish for is to get to where I am going as quickly as possible.

I really don't know what could be causing this. Maybe it's natural or just the way my body is; I don't know. Will I have to deal with this forever? Maybe I will; I don't know.

One thing I get to know since I always feel nauseous when I am travelling is that whenever I sit in the front of the car, where the breeze is, it doesn't get as serious as it used to be when I am at the back of the car.


So I did some research recently, and I got to know there are ways I can control it, and I will be sharing it so that other people like @kingsleyy that do have that kind of experience can learn how to control it. The ways are:

  • Staying hydrated by drinking water

  • Eating little food: I don't even think I can adhere to this because I love eatingšŸ˜‚.

  • Sitting in front of the car and not at the back when travelling

  • Avoid smoking: well, I don't smoke, so that's off the list of things I should practice.

  • Making sure to sit in a window seat on flights, trains, or buses.
