I Wish Such a World Exist

The joy of being in a country where you are not chased as an illegal immigrant cannot be forgotten by those who have fallen victim to such circumstances. Getting into a country with the knowledge that no one would ask you for a visa would be a great advantage to everyone.

For me, life without borders would be remarkable and exciting, this is because there would be a significant transformation in our country and exploration would abound. A world without borders would seriously change my educational pursuit.

The unrestricted access to learning from any part of the world would be invaluable. No longer would the search for links to register for online scholarships be limited by visa barriers, but rather by financial considerations to pay attention to the institution of one's choice.

Despite financial barriers, there's a belief that the least expensive schools in some first-world countries offer better education than what we have in third-world countries and that's much true because their have human resources.

The liberty to pursue academics anywhere in the world would be interesting. Imagine having access to attend a good university where one can receive a top-notch learning experience, participate in research, and carry out practical projects to aid understanding in one's field of study? That would be great learning experience,I must say.

My daily life would involve learning about diverse cultures. Some countries, we only get to know a little about their culture through their mode of dressing in the movies we watch which is not enough. Having the chance to visit these countries and stay would broaden my understanding when I talk of culture, aiding interactions with students and friends from all walks of life.

Great writers stand as my everyday inspiration. Great icons like Chimamanda Adichie, Chinua Achebe and others. I believe they are who they are today because of the access they had to receive first-world education. I would be inspired to focus on why I'm there, leveraging my education to contribute to academia and other fields of study in the future.

Engaging in extracurricular activities would be a highlight. Many of us have skills, but access to the right academy and equipment becomes a barrier to developing these skills. Joining music classes would be an extracurricular activity I would like to explore.

When it comes to games, badminton is a game I love to watch, but the only thing stopping me is the knowledge that such a game is not commonly played in Nigeria. One positive impact this would have on me is that the exposure would help me practice my field of studies in different parts of the world.

Addressing whether such a world would be possible, abuse of something is one thing humans can't get tired of, and it's only the abuse of such an opportunity that would make it impossible. Although not all humans, if some measures are put in place by the government, maybe these abuses could be curtailed making such a world possible.

The negative effect this would have on countries would be overpopulation in first-world countries and underpopulation in third-world countries. That's where one of the abuses comes in. You would see many African countries looking deserted, turning to citizens of other countries with or without approval would become a hobby, there will also be high smuggling rate of illegal items and lawlessness.
