Talent or hardwork? I still don't know

Hello People!✋

It's good to have you on my blog again, thank you for stopping by

This is my entry to contest on hive Leaners Community. It's centered on talent or hardwork in our current work

Let me give my experience so far and let's choose together if it's talent or hardwork that has been making waves for me

Some years back, I was called back to where I schooled so as to work as an assistant and manager in a laundry business. I picked up the offer because finding a job was hectic and also, I have a good relationship with the person that called me. I told him that I don't know how to Iron clothes to the laundry standard but he asked "was that not you that used to iron the clothes you were to church?", I was dumbfounded at the question. Anyways, he said he'd teach me and straighten my hands.

I moved to the city and kicked off the work within a short time of arrangements. To be sincere, he guided me on some alignments and I picked up very fast. I found the work so easy because I'm used to ironing already and I just love it, I don't feel stressed doing laundry work.

We worked together for a month and he decided to leave the business to my care which I did perfectly well by satisfying my customers.

After some few months on the work, he approached me and said he want to move me to an eatery where he is managing and he needs a trusted fellow to work as a cashier. I dragged with him for us not to shutdown the laundry business but he refused.

So I moved to the eatery and started working as a cashier and one thing got me amazed.

All those my laundry customers got angry at the decision of shutting down the laundry business and they all pleaded with me to continue working on their clothes. It was impossible for me because our power source was sold and I had to depend on public light, I explained to them that I'd be working at the mercy of public light hence I won't be able to meet up with scheduled delivery and they all concurred.

"I love how you treat my clothes and I want you to keep doing that"

That's the feedback I got from all of them and with that, I had to continue giving them that special treat.

I must say, it wasn't easy coping with the laundry and my cashier work because it's only night time that I have chance... there's no free day, not even a Sunday. I was able to keep up the work though and they all loved the treats.

Why they decided to continue with me really got me marveled. We have two laundry shops around us but they chose me that has no electricity nor chance to attend to their works on time.

Well, it has bounced back to normal, I re-opened the laundry business this month and it's all smiles to their faces.

Now, should we call that talent or hardwork?
