Simple and casual wears are easy picks for me

In one of my recent posts on Hive, I stated my obsession with washing clothes, and if I miss a day of washing, it is certain I will not miss the next 48 to 76 hours of washing: Obsession or hobby? Either way, I am fine with it.

Once my clothes are washed and dried, my next target is to get them pressed, which I equally enjoy doing. I kind of like seeing my clothes washed and ironed. This means that if I do not wash for two weeks or more, I will have clothes to wear. I have neatly folded my clothes into one place and hung those that required hanging.

Funny enough, I have arranged my clothes in such a way that the trousers and tops match where I kept them. This means that I know what should go with what at every time, and for some days of the week that warrant native or corporate wear, there is always fit-to-wear attire. The casual wear is equally neatly arranged and easy to pick out for me.

My color combinations have been dark, probably because of my dark complexion. I hate wearing colors like yellow or clothes that would draw unnecessary attention.

When it comes to picking clothes to wear, it comes very easily for me, as I have three options: corporate, native, or casual. These have been neatly packed, and all I needed to do was pick one as the occasion demanded. The only issue I seem to have is that I get to like some clothes more, which means that I get to wear them often, especially as they are washed after being worn. Notwithstanding, I try to be fair in choosing my outfits so as not to relegate some of them.

I really do not get choosy when picking clothes to wear; once I am set to go out, the person closest to me is likely to be the victim. However, I try to arrange the clothes in such a manner that my choice would go around all the clothes (with some bias toward my favorites).

Thus, it is never a dilemma for me when it comes to choosing what to wear. My clothes are not in excess, and at a glance, I can choose the best outfit for any occasion among the stash of neatly arranged clothes that I have.

I love this pattern of choosing my clothes and may not want a change in that respect. However, I hope to have my wardrobe changed soon enough, at least to have a new look in town (by the way, I love small clothes, and with my stature, you would not be able to guess my age correctly). My mom always complains that I love wearing small clothes and that I look small in them. Well, I am a small man, and I like to look small so that expectations will not be too high for me. I remember when a policeman stopped and asked me who the owner of the car I was driving was. He was shocked at my response. He further asked if I was a student (you won’t blame him; I was wearing a short knicker and a top) because of how I was dressed; luckily, my ID card is always in the car to corroborate my identity.

I love simple clothes, and picking them is never a hassle.
