Chicken Keema Alu Shimla: Potato Capsicum with Minced Chicken(Sunday Creative)

Hello Hive family. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Today i am here with another recipe Chicken Keema Alu Shimla/Potato Capsicum with Minced Chicken. This is my entry for the #creativeSunday Contest Initiative started by #hivelearners. Why i am making this recipe?
Actually Chicken Keema or Chicken Qeema is quick and convenient, requiring less time than beef Keema, and with my tips below you can make a good tasting one in under 30 minutes!
Chicken Keema hasn't always been a natural favorite for me. I grew up with good beef Aloo Qeema and all the chicken versions I had eaten seemed underwhelming. Necessity is the mother of invention as and with family members who could not eat beef for health reasons I did some working - and reworking to come up with this version that works with the natural flavors of chicken to create a Chicken Keema Alu Shimla Recipe that is actually delicious!
So let's start the recipe:
Ingredients:

Minced Chicken 200 gm
Potato 1 Pc ( Medium Sized)
Capsicum 1 Pc ( Medium Sized)
Onion 1 Pc ( Large Sized)
Salt 1 Tea Spoon
Cooking Oil 150 ml ( Half Cup)
Ginger+ Garlic 1 Table Spoon(Paste)
Green Chili 4 Pcs (Chopped)
Cumin Seed 1 Table Spoon
Red Chilli Powder 1 Tea Spoon
Turmeric Powder 1/2 Tea Spoon
Coriander Powder 1 Tea Spoon
Black Pepper 1/2 Tea Spoon
Dry Spices ( 1 Cinnamon Stick, 3 Long Pepper)
The ingredients for Chicken Keema Alu Shimla (also called Potato Capsicum with Minced Chicken) are clearly labeled that are:

Minced Chicken: Leg Quarter Bone- Minced chicken tastes best in a keema. You can make this recipe beef and mutton minced as well.

Chili, ginger, garlic: You grind these together if making a fresh paste.

Vegetables (Onion+ Potato+ Capsicum+ Tomato): Cut onion and potato into the small cubes and cut capsicum and tomatoes in thin slices.

Spices: I used cumin seed, coriander powder, garam masala powder ,black pepper, turmeric powder and salt and dry Spices ( 1 Cinnamon Stick, 3 Long Pepper).

Procedure:

In a pan heat oil add dry spices, After that add onion cubes and fry it for 2 minutes.

Immediately, add ginger, garlic and chili paste. so spices do not burn and lose their flavors.

For the onion and ginger garlic paste for 2-3 minutes until its color changes and the onion water dries. Be patient and do not jump to the next step quickly.

Now, add the minced chicken into the pan and Stir fry minced chicken until it changes its color and you see some golden color on it.

Add tomatoes and try to mash and melt it in the pan for better flavor.

Add the remaining spices, stir it and then cover the pan for 5 minutes.

Add potatoes and then add 1 cup of water to melt and soft them and mix to loosen spices from the sides of the pan.

Then cover the pan and cook the chicken on medium heat for 10 minutes or until tender.
After that, uncover the pan and add capsicum slices and again cover it for 2 minutes.

Now the Chicken keema Alu Shimla is ready for serve. you can enjoy it with mint yogurt and fresh green salad.
