So, We are here again on another Sunday, It's a day where we can do some creative tasks and share them with our Hive family.

Today we decided to make Afghani Chicken Karahi, The idea of cooking this at home comes from our visit to an Afghani hotel last month. From that day, it stayed in my mind and I discussed it with my wife, we tried to cook it as same as we ate in the hotel. Believe me, it was cooked exactly the same and we really enjoyed eating it at home.

  • Half Kg chicken
  • 1 Onion
  • 12 Pieces of Green Chillies
  • 1 Tomato.
  • 1 Little slice of ginger.
  • Salt ( as per your taste)
  • 1 Table Spoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 Tea Spoon of cumin.
  • 4 Pieces Round dry Red Chllie
  • 250 ML milk.
  • 100 Gram butter.
  • 2 Table Spoon Nestle Cream
  • 200 ML oil.
  • 2 Pinch of Black Pepper powder

Cooking Procedure

Creative Sunday is all about Learning New things in detail and sharing all the things in detail with our hive community, that is why I have captured pictures of each and every step including in cooking this yummy Dish.

First of all, you need to cut the onion into pieces like this.

Add one glass of water in the cooking pot and then add onion in the cooking pot.

cook the water and onion together for some time, until the onion turns soft.

Now add chicken to the cooking pot.

Chicken should be washed and cleaned properly. Now cover the cooking pot and cook the chicken for 5 minutes. Do not let the water dry completely.

Now bring Oil.

When the chicken turned white add the oil in the cooking pot. Now cook the onion and chicken for 3 minutes.

Now Bring the dry spices.

Add the dry spices to the cooking pot.

After adding dry spices, cook it for 2 minutes.

Bring the milk. You can use any kind of milk.

add the milk to the cooking pot. Cook it for 3 minutes.

Now bring the butter.

Add the butter to the cooking pot.

Now cute the ginger, tomatoes and Green chilli in Julienne cutting style like shown in the picture.

Add green chilli to the cooking pot and cook it for two minutes.

Now bring the Cream.

Add the Cream to the cooking pot, After adding the cream, mix it well.

Now bring the black pepper powder.


add it into the cooking pot.


Now add tomato and ginger.


after adding tomato and ginger Turn off the flame, If we do not turn off the flame, the tomatoes will soften, It should not soften.
