We have to work to live and fulfil our basic demands. Working is very important for us and it provides us money which is a requirement for all of us and it's very important also. I think only foolish people can say that they can live without money. So if we need money we have to work for it. There is various kind of work to earn money but today I am going to compare between Full-time employee and freelancer because of the topic of the Hive Learners contest.
Freelancer Or Full-Time Employee
Working in a company as a freelancer or as a full-time employee which one is more beneficial? If you were given the choice which one would you pick? Share your thoughts with us.
Before sharing my opinion I wanna share some knowledge about freelancers and full-time employee & advantages and disadvantages of both of them. So let's start...
Who is a full-time employee ?
A full-time employee means that person who work minimum 40 hours weekly in offices or factories or other workplaces. The minimum work time can be different in various countries. In a word most of the time, we see those people who are going to the office or in their workplace are mostly full time employee.
Who is a freelancer ?
A freelancer is that person who doesn't work for any specific company or organisation. A freelancer is like a free bird and he can choose which one he wanted to do considering the money. So a freelancer doesn't need to go outside for searching for work and earn money because he can do it from his home if there exists internet connectivity.
Advantages to be a full time employee
- He can meet new people and make some real friends in the workplace.
- He can get help from others in the workplace if he need it.
- He has to work for a limited time.
- He became relax after return home from the office
- He can get a holiday every week.
Advantages to be a freelancer
- He have the freedom to choose what he wanted to do.
- He can work from his home.
- He has the freedom of time and because of it, he can do the work whenever he want.
- There is no boss and because of it, there is no restriction of a boss.
- Giving more time he can earn more money.
Disadvantages to be a full time employee
- He has to present physically in workplace.
- Most of the time he has to follow the orders of the boss.
- In the case of working many restrictions came from various purposes.
Disadvantages to be a freelancer
- Freelancer almost work all day long.
- He doesn't get any time for relaxing because he has to think about something always.
- Tension of working is a common thing for a freelancer.
- There is no official holiday for a freelancer.
- Sometimes a freelencer lost in his work that he almost forget everything of outside world.
Considering all the advantages and disadvantages i will choose to be a full time employee because It's hard for a freelencer to get time for relaxing and i wanna spend quality time with my family member without any tension.
I am not saying that all freelencers pass stressful day every time but it's the common thing in most of freelencer although i thing with a proper daily routine this problem can be solved .
