Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge: Holy Protection

*Designed by Canva"
Hello Sunday everyone, how are you doing today? Last week, we talked about the ‘heavy hitters’ rule; a rule that needed a monster with stun ability in a battle. I decided to include Spirit Shaman- a monster with stun ability. Then, when spirit shaman stunned, double damage was done to a stunned monster. That was the reason Kron the Undying was able to be destroyed.

Without Spirit Shaman, there would be no way to destroy Kron the Undying in this battle. We all knew that Kron the Undying became the strongest monster when it was the only monster that was left in the battle. Without Spirit Shaman, there was no way it could have been destroyed.

I love to watch battles of big players before I fight my battle. The battle I watched was incredible! He had good cards that could fight any player in the champion league. initially, the winner wasn't look like a winner until the battle was about to end.

Rules of the battle
The following are the rules in this battle:

Holy Protection: All monsters have the divine ability.
This is a rule for this week! As you can see, the first time this unit takes damage it is ignored.
When there's holy protection in a battle or monster or summoner, the first attack cannot damage if such a monster is attacked.
I remembered when Lorna Shine was one of the hottest summoners in splinterlands. I have encountered with Lorna Shine and what makes the summoner unique was the Holy protection.

Wand Out: Only monsters with magic attack may be used in battles.
The only monster that can be used when wand out is in action is magic monsters.
That was the reason the only monsters that was available for selection was magic monsters.

Back to Basics: Monsters lose all abilities.
Back to basics rule nullified all the abilities of the ! monsters in this battle.
Assuming there was no back to basic rule, Mycelic Slipspawn would have be attacked instead of Zebajin.

Summoner
Obsidian
Splinter: Earth 🌎🌍
Level: 4
Ability: All friendly magic attack monsters have +1 magic attack.
back to basics can only affects monsters not summoners, that was the reason I used Obsidian in this battle.
the ability of Obsidian was very important in this battle; and that was the reason all my monsters had +1 additional magic attack.
The best strategy in this lineup was to use to Obsidian.

Zebajin
Splinter: Earth 🌍🌎
Level: 2 ⭐⭐
Speed: 2🚤🚤
Health: 11 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 1 🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 7
The only reason I used Zebajin was because of the health; one of the best way to win this battle was to use monsters with highest health.
Zebajin was among the monsters that could do the job. Zebajin was eliminated in the first round of the battle because of massive attacks by the opponent.
I understand that monster in the first position would be attacked the most; and that was the reason I used Zebajin.

Mycelic Slipspawn
Splinter: Earth 🌍🌎
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Health: 10 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Magic
Mana: 9
Mycelic Slipspawn was the monster to be attacked in this battle but ‘back to basics’ rule nullified all the abilities of the monsters.
After elimination of Zebajin, Mycelic Slipspawn was the monster that led the lineup; due to its higher numbers of health, Mycelic Slipspawn was able to stay longer. Before the end of round one, Mycelic Slipspawn was eliminated.

Centauri Mage
Splinter: Earth 🌍🌎
Level: 1 ⭐
Speed: 2🚤🚤
Health: 9 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Magic
Mana:7
Centauri Mage became the monster that led the lineup. Before Centauri Mage was eliminated in this lineup, opponent’s Magi of chaos was eliminated. At round 4, three monsters were left from both sides.

Regal Peryton
Splinter: Earth 🌍🌎
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 6 🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤
Health: 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Magic
Mana:5
By the time Regal Peryton led the lineup, two monsters were left from my opponent. That was when I had confidence that I have won the battle. At round 5, Regal Peryton was still in battle while only a monster was left in the lineup.

Goblin Psychic
Splinter: Earth 🌍🌎
Level: 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 1 🚤
Health: 4 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Magic
Mana:6

At last, Goblin Psychic and Mushroom Seer was the remaining monsters that was left in the lineup.

Mushroom Seer
Splinter: Earth 🌍🌎
Level: 2 ⭐⭐
Speed: 2🚤🚤
Health: 3 ❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Magic
Mana:5
Mushroom Seer contributed to the victory.

Round 1
First round wasn't so long- Opponent's Regal Peryton started the attack; and it started the attack because it was level 6 while my Regal Peryton was in level 3. So, you don't expect level three to attack before level 6 unless it the rules has reverse speed.
My regal Peryton was the next monster that attacked, and damaged the holy protection.
Then opponent's Mycelic Slipspawn attacked white my Centauri Mage attacked.
At the end of the round, opponent's Slipspawn was the monster that was eliminated first; then, Zebajin was the second that was eliminated.

Round 2
Round 2 was not like round one; within 7 seconds opponent's Centauri Mage was eliminated; The moment Centauri Mage was down, Mycelic Slipspawn followed. Before round three, Magi of Chaos was damaged to 4 health

Round 3
Since it was Opponent's Regal Peryton was the first monster to attack, It attacked my Centauri Mage, and damaged 3 health. Magi of Chaos wasn't given a chance to attack in round 3 before it was eliminated.

Round 4
My Centauri Mage was finally eliminated; opponent’s Regal Peyton was eliminated also.

In conclusion, my strategy worked well! I made sure I arranged my monster from the highest to the lowest i.e I arranged them base on the health. it wasn't right in this battle to place monster with smaller health such as mushroom Seer to third position.
If my opponent arranged his monsters according to the health number, it wouldn't have been easy for me. if he had placed Regal Peryton as the third monster and Magi of chaos as the fourth; Magi of chaos would have had more time to attack which would have resulted to victory. Also, Queen Mycelia would have been the last monster in this battle- if my opponent arrange his monsters in this way, he would have won.
