Paper Back Still The Best For Me

Welcome to my blog

It's another edition of the @hivelearners weekly prompt and here's week 38 edition 2.

It has been hectic since last week when school resumed. I rarely have time for myself or to publish. After 8 months of strike regretfully we began and we have begun writing examinations and it has been stressful in school.

Coincidentally, this week's topic is talking about books and reading. No doubt the world is modernizing and things are changing so rapidly.
In the earlier days, books were written on stone and the scroll afterward was converted to paper.
Most of the books were still big and heavy to be carried from one place to the other.
It wasn't still convenient and because the world is revolting around, the digital people chose to convert books to the digital form which is in e-books which means Electronic books while paperbacks are hard copies of books that can be touched or felt with our hands.
Now you may roam about anywhere in the globe, read and download any book of your choice and carry them on your phone or computer without the concern of their being hefty.

Another excellent thing about this ebook is that there are websites that enable you to download and read books for free without paying for a dollar. In the convenience of your home without traveling to the shop or a library.

As much as the ebook may be wonderful, I would still prefer the paperback.

Why I prefer Paperbacks

I'm not good at beginning at the computer or phone screen for a very long period particularly when am gazing at it without blinking. My eyes won't allow me and will start crying. I'm more comfortable with Paperback where I do not have to stress my eyes.
I have tried e-book multiple times and I always get distracted 😂.
A call or message from someone might bother me and also I can be tempted to constantly check my messages on my social media handles but paperback books make me more focused since I will keep my phone aside and read.

I may also be reading an ebook from my bed which may help me to sleep easily, that can't happen if I am reading a hardcopy book I normally use my table and chair that way I barely feel dizzy.

With paperback books, your books are retained for a long time if only they are kept secure from water, cold, and bugs.
There was a point I didn't purchase textbooks in school I only that the soft copy of my textbooks in my pdf and my phone stolen.
It seemed like the end of the world for me since exam was near. I didn't purchase the textbook and had nothing to read, what saved me was the note I had in classes that what I read.
Those bookshelves from my secondary schools are kept on my bookshelf and at home and even some tales simply imagine they were ebooks that wouldn't have been with me still today.
They store memories for the future and much more to come.

Thank you for reading
